Nolan did have an underrated curve ball.

I do think that first pitch was high and inside, though. :unsure

Damn. I went back to look where that meme was already posted.

And HE was the one that posted it an hour ago.

Timestamped himself. That's got to be a first. With the added twist of being in an entirely different sport's thread. Oof.

If you fuckers took responding to live posts that matter instead of monitoring when I did not copy a link correctly, this board would be a better place.

This is what I meant to post.

Fuck you all.

Great player, great arm. One of the more underrated players in history and should be in the Hall of Fame.

Also the Cobra was a great nickname.

My question is how does MLB make that kind of money to pay these guys?

From a quick Google, the Dodgers' payroll in 2023 was about 240 million. Which seems enormous.

The Dodgers' revenue however, is supposedly about 565 million.

A lot of people still like baseball.

I mean, this has a little more going on than whether we "get over ourselves". Dude should probably do his research before spouting off.

"Allegations of statutory rape
Rose filed a defamation suit against attorney John M. Dowd in July 2016, after Dowd had alleged in a radio interview the previous summer that Rose had committed statutory rape.[78] A court document during the suit was released in July 2017 with a sworn statement alleging Rose had engaged in a sexual relationship with a minor in the 1970s.[79] In light of these new allegations, the Phillies canceled his upcoming Philadelphia Baseball Wall of Fame ceremony.[80] On December 15, 2017, a judge dismissed the defamation lawsuit when both parties reached an agreement."

No unanimous designation for Adrian Beltre in the Hall of Fame voting. Don't know how you can leave the guy off but I believe the guy only voted for ARod and Manny Rameriz in protest.

Why would Beltre be unanimous? I don't understand.

Oh I will say it might be a little player bias but I think his numbers line up well enough. Offense. Defense. Longevity. He is going to get in first ballot regardless and like I said so far the only person that I've seen not put him in is doing his own agenda. That irks me a little.

Maybe there will be more. :shrug
