I agree with this which is why I'm not especially concerned after yesterday's game. The odds are definitely against us winning 3 in a row on the road but I think we can take two if the second isn't SF.

And last year we played really well on the road in the first game and passable enough for a half in the second when you consider the opponent, so we'll see.

I don't even know what to make of things like this. Poor coaching? Lack of situational awareness from the players? Just being kind of soft?

It's hard to place the blame on anybody but the player but who the hell knows.

That's 100% on the player.

Woke up this morning still irritated about the game yesterday. Not because of the L, but because I jumped on the “this is our year” train.
There’s lots of reasons why this team seems to shit the bed in the big games, that Dak seems rattled at the most inopportune times, or that the FO doesn’t value certain positions that ultimately win close football games for other teams. It’s also apparent that Jones’ iron hold on influencing the NFL is gone and has been gone for a while.
They showed Mike McDaniel telling his players to hold the Cowboys defensive players as much as they could because the refs weren’t going to call it. 10 years ago, Jones would have threatened to sink Goodell with that kind of blatant bullshit going on. Nothing will happen now because he’s just a teetering old blowhard who has zero sway over anyone.

That was part of it. I have no idea why he didn‘t just race to the pylon instead of finding a guy twice his size to try to truck.
That's the thing though!

He didn't even crash into the guy head on. This wasn't like Kenneth Davis vs Ken Norton in the Superbowl.

The defender doesn't even get a chance to square up and hit Pollard head on. The guy is actually going in the opposite direction and is able to overpower Pollard with an arm tackle!

It's one of the weakest displays of physicality I've ever seen from a RB.

Dumb take from Eisen. I don't give a crap if he raised his hands or not, he lifted Dak and jumped on him. You don't get to raise your arms and suddenly make it not a penalty.

That's textbook roughing the passer and they call it nearly every time. Come on now. Raising his arms isn't a magic wand that erases what he did immediately before that.

Yea it was the picking up part that is a penalty, as opposed to what Parsons did which was literally just "hit the QB too hard".
