I guess the Eagles are going to have to be like that Moss Vikes team that only lost a game and were upset by Atlanta in the NFCC. Maximum heartbreak for those degenerate fans. #silverlining

Chris Simms styles his part-in-his-hair ornately like a woman wearing a bow in her hair.

There's something with him.

Same here. The 49ers are a different story.
I really believe we can beat them and in fact, I think we WILL beat them if we see them in the playoffs.

I don't think the Eagles make it to the SB because the 49ers will beat them if we don't.

But they are a legitimately elite team. I know we all hate them, but this is a team that went to the Super Bowl last year and is currently 10-1.

That's not an accident.

Your boy isn't anything special, either. One of those easily replaceable QBs you talk about. A guy that can be found in the mid to late rounds every year.

Ferguson is at least starting to show that he can be an above average starter in this league.
You absolutely cannot find a starting caliber QB in the mid to late rounds every year. Howell is leading the league in passing yards as a sophomore.

Yeah, he might end up as one of those middle of the road guys you can’t win with. He’s still worth more than Ferguson by far.

And I like Ferguson, but he’s a dime-uh TE with no more real upside. A dime-uh QB is worth more than an equivalent TE just because of position alone; Howell has the potential to be way more.

When though?

I swear to God in all my years of watching NFL football, I have never, ever seen a team that has their kind of fortune.
In the playoffs, I just hope they don't get the 1 seed because I don't think they'll make it through 3 playoff games, and especially not if SF has HFA.

But I also think the 49ers obliterate them next week. The 49ers will be very up for the game while the Eagles have been winning by the skin of their teeth for weeks now.

Yeah, and this game was draining.

They're absolutely lucky.

But they can be elite AND lucky. And I think the hate we all have for them has blinded people from seeing how good they truly are.

But they are flawed and they can be had. I honestly think they were better last year but confidence does amazing things for a team and they believe they're elite and that's how they're able to pull some results out of their ass like this one.

Still, I don't think they make it to the SB and I just have this feeling that they're gonna go out via a disappointing home loss in the playoffs.

They lost key DT Hargraves. Their GM got them a 1st rounder to draft Jalen Carter.

Had to part with starting RBS. Their GM somehow swung trade for De'Andre Swift who made key run on OT winning drive

Secondary having issues. GM able to swing trade for Kevin Byaard.

Not an accident.

If you already have an elite QB, isn't a good starting TE better than a low to mid tier QB as a backup...

I can’t believe the league hasn’t figured out Hurts yet. All he can do is scramble.
Well, Buffalo kinda did in the first half.

But again this is where the Eagles aren't getting enough credit from some people on this board. They're very well coached and they're great at making adjustments and they did so in this one and that is how they won.

But they have holes on defense and I just don't see them getting to the Super Bowl when they allow 24-plus points as often as they do.

I agree, the Eagles are good. We need the 49ers to beat them. We need to beat them and then suddenly they can be put squarely in the third best team in the NFC spot where they belong. Maybe that would shake their confidence a bit.
