I'm not sure that Howell can play. So far all I've seen is that he can throw for a bunch of meaningless yards.I'm with you on this, @Smitty. I like Ferguson but you take a QB who can play over that any day.
He has an 87 QB rating. That's very Daniel Jones level. He’s leading the league in passing yards on a team that can’t keep him upright. Dude is better than Daniel Jones.
Yeah, he has his flaws. I’m not saying he’s better than Dak…. yet. He has many Romo qualities that you’d love to have though.
If by some miracle we all end up 14-3 the tiebreaking rules would put SF on top with a 2-0 record vs Dal and Philly, and then head to head tiebreakers would take over between Dal/Phi where we tie in the first three tiebreakers but lose the 4th tiebreaker of conference record thanks to the Cardinals loss.I agree, the Eagles are good. We need the 49ers to beat them. We need to beat them and then suddenly they can be put squarely in the third best team in the NFC spot where they belong. Maybe that would shake their confidence a bit.
Feels a lot like the 2008 GiantsThe Eagles are good, but Hurts isn’t good enough that they should be Super Bowl runner up/10-1 good.
That shoe is just taking an awful long time to drop. What does he do well besides scramble and tush push?
I don't think it's the same at all.Feels a lot like the 2008 Giants
2011 Packers?I don't think it's the same at all.
The Giants were absolutely rolling and looked like a team that was set to get back to the Super Bowl and then Plaxico Burress shot himself.
If that doesn't happen, I think the Giants get to and likely win the SB that year.
They lost four of five including the playoff opener. Losing one player should not account for that much of a skid. Their OL started to wear down, I think we sacked Eli 5 timesI don't think it's the same at all.

That's a better comparison.2011 Packers?
It wasn't just losing the player, it's how they lost him. They lost four of five including the playoff opener. Losing one player should not account for that much of a skid. Their OL started to wear down, I think we sacked Eli 5 times
First round, you say? And even then, maybe not that caliber? He’s leading the league in passing yards, this isn’t Cooper Rush. He’s far better than say, Daniel Jones. You cannot find that guy in the mid rounds “every year.” Maybe you can find a guy in the first round of that caliber every year, but I even doubt that frankly.
This is just anti Washington bias, kinda silly really. There are 32 starters and he’s far closer to the middle than he is the bottom of that list of 32.
I think it was like 8 times. Pretty sure we led the league in sacks that year.Their OL started to wear down, I think we sacked Eli 5 times
I can’t believe the league hasn’t figured out Hurts yet. All he can do is scramble.
Leads the league in yardage... BFD. He plays from behind all the time. I'd say that's a pretty good opportunity to sling the ball around.I'm not sure that Howell can play. So far all I've seen is that he can throw for a bunch of meaningless yards.
More Jameis Winston lead-the-league than Dan Fouts.Leads the league in yardage... BFD. He plays from behind all the time. I'd say that's a pretty good opportunity to sling the ball around.
He threw for 300 yds against Dallas. With 0 TDs and a pick 6. Lost 45-10.
But he had those 300 yards, tho.
