However, we would have lost this game last year. As long as we continue to improve, I'm alright.
This is true. I think they lost about four games last year by 5 points or less. It's good to see them on the other side of these close games for a change.

The DL needs a serious infusion of talent. Luckily we have a few blue chips recruits in the 2024 class that should give the unit a much needed boost.

Did you hear during the broadcast that the sack they got on BYU's QB was their first sack since the UCF game? They played over 15 straight quarters of football without registering a single sack. That's unacceptable.

It's glorious, aint it. :lol

And it's only going to get worse once Caleb lives and they start playing in the Big 10.
Like every week, I’m sitting here laughing. My Wolverines struggled in our trap game against Maryland, but the dog shit that’s on the field from both of those teams is obvious. USC is not equipped to handle the B1G unless they play Iowa every week.

Holy shit, what a boneheaded throw to end the game by Maye.

Badgers just gave up a 60 yard TD run to Purdy's little brother. :picard

That game was some bullshit. The first half officiating was terrible and then our team went full retard in the 2nd half.
What was the officiating bullshit?

There were quite a few. The big ones that come to mind are the overturned TD on the first drive and the overturned catch on the sidelines that negated a potential scoring drive. Both times the Wr had 2 feet in.

Yeah, I agree. I thought that was a TD.

Yesterday I ran across a couple of draft scouts/analysts who put most of the blame on Riley's system for some of Caleb's faults. Like how Caleb has a habit of holding the ball too long and always looking for big plays rather than just moving the chains with easier throws.

I don't know if I buy that completely. Baker, Kyler, and Rattler (in 2020) were able to consistently process information quickly, make adjustments at the line, and get the ball into the hands of playmakers in the 10-15 yard range without having to scramble around for 7 seconds.

Caleb's style of play under Riley reminds me of how Hurts played when he was at OU. The same things I used to complain about with Hurts (processing plays too slowly) are exactly what I'm seeing with Caleb at USC.

Caleb hasn't been coached. Riley is too afraid of making his meal ticket mad, so he lets him do whatever he wants.

Disservice to the player, but then Williams is such a diva I'm sure he thinks he's already mastered the position anyway.

That diva mentality is why I think he is going to be more Kyler Murray than anything in the NFL. He is going to have to put in serious work in the NFL. He is going to need to be humble. I don't see it in his personality to do those things.

I've been telling you guys for about 6 months that he's Kyler Murray without the explosive running ability.

Good prospect but I wouldn't even take him over Burrow or Lawrence as prospects, let alone this "best in 10-20 years" nonsense.

He's going to need a very strong offensive designer and overall roster around him to keep him from going dumb and playing hero ball half the time.

Russell Wilson also comes to mind. Holds the ball for ever. Makes awesome looking plays. Thinks of himself as a celebrity who should get special treatment. But isn't really that good.

I think there’s truth in both, but, but Caleb has to shoulder a lot of the blame here. He plays too much backyard football and often places himself in bad situations, which often results in him basically sacking himself. Part of that is on Riley for not trying to coach that out of him, but much of it is on him because that’s how he chooses to play. All I know is that he’ll have a very short NFL career if he keeps that nonsense up at that level.
