I think there’s truth in both, but, but Caleb has to shoulder a lot of the blame here. He plays too much backyard football and often places himself in bad situations, which often results in him basically sacking himself. Part of that is on Riley for not trying to coach that out of him, but much of it is on him because that’s how he chooses to play.
Yeah, that was mainly my point. I point the finger more at Caleb than at Riley because I've seen 3 other OU QBs operate from the pocket and get the ball out on time just fine in Riley's system.

The only difference I would point out is that Oklahoma's offensive lines were better than this USC line.

Even when he was at OU in 2021 he'd hold the ball too long, always looking for the home run.

I overlooked it at the time because he was a true freshman and I thought once he had a full year under the system he'd be better working from the pocket and working the shorter routes.

The fact that he's still leaning on scramble drills so heavily after 3 full years in the same system would concern me.

I wouldn't be surprised if scouts don't ding him for it in the coming months. it's not a deal breaker, just something that would go in the "con" column.

It’s a huge red flag in my book.

I just don't know if he is coachable. I have serious doubts. He is already pretty full of himself.
He really does appear to be. He has tons of talent, but an overly inflated sense of entitlement can ruin that immediately.

I'd like to see him paired with a really strong head coach. Someone that will put him in his place. But I don't know that a coach like that will draft him. Those coaches tend to not like those players.

I guess Michigan doesn't need a head coach after all.

McCord is so ordinary it is almost painful to watch.

But fuck Ryan Day. He is easily the douchiest college coach out there now.

I hate that call.

I go for it if I'm Michigan.

Ohio state has had the upper hand on them for years and I think they find a way to go down and score a touchdown and win the game.

Go for it and try to seal it now.

Fuck giving them the ball back with only a 6 point lead.
