I honestly hope that McCarthy has kept some stuff seriously under wraps.

It is readily apparent that we are not throwing deep and the 49ers are built to shut that short game down.
Agreed although I wouldn't empty the bucket here either, or against the Eagles later on, unless it was a literal "win and you get HFA, or win and you clinch the division" sort of situation. We're likely to see one or even both of them in the playoffs, gotta keep something in the back pocket.

And offensively we're just not very physical. I know most of you here aren't big on Leupke. But I wish wee could use his size and strength to block more and get him involved in the run game. We just don't have that hammer in the backfield anymore.

I would hope they give him a shot.

Why has nobody else figured that rookie (basically) out? It took him getting knocked out of the game for philly to win last year.

And just for arguments sake, I still say we would have won that game if Pollard doesn't break his leg.
Some teams did figure him out, but forgot about how good the Niners running game is, especially when McCaffrey gets on a roll. if Purdy doesn’t beat you, McCaffrey will.

I’d venture to say last year we had their running game under control but let Purdy complete some really easy 3rd down throws that allowed them to play keep away from us. It was pretty maddening.

I agree if Pollard stays healthy we had a really good chance to win, but even without him we we were right there. Unfortunately , we let some really simple plays by a couple players essentially beat us.

For me, it’s ok to question why this team hasn’t figured out how to beat Purdy….Jerry and Dak and any Cowboy player who will give an opinion will tell the world how good they think this team is, which is the main reason I don’t care if other teams figure out how to beat the Niners. I just want McCarthy and everyone to figure it out, because The Niners are in our way and will most likely be in our way to getting to a SB

Defensively, I absolutely believe we can go toe to toe with anybody. We're tough, fast, athletic, and aggressive. I think we can keep the Niners' offense honest and pretty much in check.
Offensively, I just don't have a good feeling. FG's won't beat a contender like San Fran.
Exactly. We aren’t beating the Niners at home, kicking FGs and doing nothing in the red zone unless our D completely shuts down their offense. Which I don’t see that happening either.
However I believe we are due a big play or 2 that would win us an otherwise tight game like last year. I think we are better up front, and I know the D in general is much faster than they were last year.

Yeah he’s not that guy at this point.

I thought it would get some retards riled up. Mission accomplished.
Oh, look. The guy who named himself after a male book cover model for middle aged women is trying to sound tough again.

Purdy didn't do much to beat us, and what he did do in the passing game was mostly a function of scheme thanks to Shannahan giving him easy rub concepts and screens to get the ball out of his hand quick. That was especially true on several of those easy 3rd down conversions you mentioned.

Who’s ready to get their shit pushed in?
You seem to want this, is there something we should know

Yeah, it’s not a favorable matchup… just play well, make an entertaining game of it, learn some things

Don’t shit the fucking bed again
