I mean he was a waiver claim so there is a little more too it than that. But I guess you could argue we should have dumped Davis and picked him up at the time. It was the start of last season so we obviously were not dumping Zeke or Pollard.

I never saw Sermon on our radar during the draft process.

Why are we worried about Sermon? I don't see anything special there.

Between all of the talent we have at safety and in the slot, and the speed at LB, I think we're uniquely capable of handling elite TE's so I'm not overly concerned about him. That's especially true given their lack of talent at WR.

This is why Martin is so important, the NFC East has probably the best group of DT's in the league between these two, Allen and Payne, plus Cox.

On the other hand, the Panthers have a bottom 5 OL in the league and we've handled these division DT's just fine for a while now.
