He was told they'd go OL or DL last night, not TE. TE could wait to 2nd or even 3rd round.

He thinks they could have been considering Anton Harrison or Bergeron last night, but Mike M and others wanted Mazi. Says they probably talked about Nolan Smith since they didn't expect him to be there.

Mentions LaPorta again and Tucker Kraft at TE. Charbonnet at RB. Thinks we could lean RB in the second thinking a TE will still be there in the third.

Charbonnet is legit. I wouldn't complain one bit about him.

I like that they're prioritizing the trenches over flash. The common thread between teams that have been top 5 Super Bowl contenders is that they invest heavily in their OL & DL.

Again, God bless Mike McCarthy.

I'm not saying every single decision is his, but I do believe that he has brought a real football vision to the organization and he's the first credible football coach we've had come through here since Parcells -- and him bringing the kind of success that the team hadn't experienced in 20 years has bought him total credibility with the Jones'.

He understands the fundamentals of football and what a winner is supposed to look like and he has transmitted that message to the organization. And that is why our decision-making makes sense all of a sudden.

We need to keep him around for as long as possible.

I would very seriously consider trading up about 10-15 spots while doing everything we can to hold onto our 3rd.

But it's unrealistic to expect Mayer, LaPorta or one of the top OL to drop to 58.
