He was making a joke. Deion is being a touch sensitive here.
Regardless, it was a strange comparison to make.....and it didn't sound like a joke to me.
I don't think Romo meant it with any malice, but it did come across more as a comparison of faults as a CB than something said in jest.

So we're definitely giving Lawrence 15-16 a year in the offseason, yea?
The franchise tag will probably be somewhere around 18 for 2018 so do we hold off and pay a little more for a little extra piece of mind to see if he can do it again or do we bite the bullet and hope to lock in some savings?
If he has a repeat next year his price tag probably goes up to about 20 per year, then again if he has just an above average year maybe we still sign him for 15-16 or even a little less.
Another thing to consider is that David Irving will be unrestricted going into 2019 so we might not want to go into that situation with them knowing we can only franchise one of them, which gives the other an extreme amount of leverage.
Yesterday was a great game for the most part, great play calling and no HC mistakes.
But....Count me in as someone who doesn’t trust Garrett in a big 1 and done type game. And if you have to add in a 1 and done after a bye week......oh hell no.
Anybody think Jaylon Smith is moving around a little better?
He doesn't seem to be running with as much of a pronounced limp anymore and his change of direction seems a bit smoother. He's still not totally there but he definitely looks better than he did early in the year when he was almost dragging his one leg at times.
He also had a nice blitz in the 1st half on the 3rd down play where Smith overshot Hill down the sideline. Romo was saying he had to hold on to the ball for a split second longer but Smith was already around his legs and if he held on for an extra half second or so he would've been sacked or had Smith wrapped around his lower body.

I saw that hold.
If you can't get that call, the Refs are just not calling them.
Which is obvious, by the way. 5 straight games without an offensive hold called.
No agenda here!![]()
He still can't tackle too often. He like, braces for impact. He doesn't attack the ball carrier often enough.
Does anybody disagree that we are, at a minimum, a top 3 team in the conference when at full strength?
There is an argument to be made for the Eagles and maybe the Saints or Rams, but at the end of the day I'd feel confident that we could beat any of those teams with how we're playing.
I'll say this much, no matter what happens the rest of this season with an Elliott suspension or whatever, I feel good about this team moving forward because with how they've played and responded to being 2-3 they've cut that cycle of "great year, horribly disappointing year" that followed us from 2007 to 2008, from 2009 to 2010, and from 2014 to 2015.
If Elliott is suspended we may miss the playoffs but if not, I think we're a lock for 10 wins and perhaps more. There is reason to be excited about this team being able to sustain success moving forward and I think alot of it has to do with Prescott and his demeanor/steady hand.
Yeah, this was the game that proved either we have it or we don't. That is a very good Chiefs team. They didn't get to 6-2 by chance., Hell, they destroyed the Pats in week 1. We manhandled them. I thought we showed quite clearly that we deserve to be in the playoff NFCC contender conversation.
