More the Bengals can't cover the middle of the field and are painfully slow.

No way. What would be stupid would be playing extra periods when guys are tired and putting them more at risk to injury. I can see it in the playoffs where you need to define a clear winner. You don't need that in the regular season.
 
Bengals have spent first rounder after first rounder on corners and can't cover.

no more extra periods. At that point, just alternating 2-point conversions like a hockey/soccer shootout.
 
The Bengals keep blitzing but they are rarely successful.
