Here is the problem, the 12 personnel is only a matchup problem for teams when you have Gronk at TE. That's only because Gronk is a mismatch in no matter what formation you put him in.

This concept that defenses just can't handle TE's is silly. LBers are big and fast these days and fully capable of covering most TEs.
