perhaps, but no one baits the Cowboys by leaving Witten wide open. they had no way of knowing Weeden would badly overthrow that pass.
 
I love Witten to death, but my goodness.....I think he is literally incapable of not getting one illegal motion call a week. That penalty really hurt.

Maybe the Falcons would've stopped us anyway since they seemed to have us figured out by that point, but we were still up 11 and had the ball at their 47 yard line to start the drive.

This was a very promising situation to be in and his false start on 1st down made it 1st and 15, and my guess is that it completely changed what the coaches had in mind to do. With that distance, we played it totally safe and punted, and that was the last chance we'd ever get to mounting a scoring drive for the rest of the game.

Well yea, that guy is full of shit on this bait stuff.

The play could have been made, but it required a perfect throw from the right QB, and Weeden isn't the guy for that.

And again, it was an unnecessary to ask him to pull off a difficult play like that at that juncture of the game.
 
I just don't see us having enough upfront without Hardy and Gregory and Mincey. Crawford is the only good player on that Dline that can get pressure with the others out. Dlaw and Hayden are below avg starters. No time to panic we will beat the saints next week and move to 3-1 and get Hardy and Mincey back.

We need a RB that can consistently get good yardage. That's why we need to get Michael active.

The blueprint is out there now with Weeden at the helm. Load the box to stop the run and dare him to try and beat you by dinking and dunking his way down the field. The dude can't seem to get a read and complete a pass ten yards beyond the LOS.

What a fricking roller coaster of a game. Look all world for 1.5 quarters then assume the fetal position. I think this solidifies one notion I had after the Eagles game. This team ain't that good, the NFCE is just that bad. Oh well, welcome to the past twenty years.
 
So after gashing the Falcons on the ground in the first half, with an 11 point lead with your backup QB...we ran the ball 5 times in the second half.
