The Patriots are kidding themselves thinking Amendola can replace Welker.

They are bound and determined to make him Welker-ish though.

Imagine Romo going 11 for 11 in a preseason game. Our fans would be losing their minds.
 
The Saints are beating the shit out of the Raiders.

They are going to be epic bad.
 
My quick assessment from tonight's action:

- The Patriots still look like an 11-win team, as long as Brady remains healthy.

- The Buccaneers OL appears to be shaky on the edges.

- Oakland will be lucky to win 3 games

- Buffalo, not Miami, will be the primary challenger to NE.

New Orleans' starters systematically whipped their asses. You could see from Flynn's body language that he didn't think the Raiders belonged on the same field as the Saints. On Brees' awesome TD to Stills, the Oakland pass rush was as pathetic as I've ever seen in football.

Puts our OL performance giving Romo oodles of time in perspective.

But back to Oakland, I wonder when or if they finally panic and decide there is no damn way they can start Alex Barron at left tackle.

We have Demetress Bell working to get in shape...I'd try to extort a seventh out of them. Worth a shot.
