No Thanks. Mettenberger doesn't impress me at all. He wouldn't come in here and play a snap, unless Weeden is hurt. And he certainly isn't somebody we should be looking at as a QB of the future. I would absolutely HATE if we gave up a draft pick for somebody that probably wouldn't even be on the roster next year. I would rather just bring back Vaughan. At least we wouldn't be giving up a pick for him.

See I just think your evaluation of Mettenberger sucks. The guy has a great arm. Has an NFL body. Can make every single throw on the football field but also showed a lot of great touch in preseason this year. He out played Mariota every time I saw both of them in preseason.

To me Mettenberger is a guy who could play now and develop into a future starter. He is immature but other then that I don't see the draw backs with him.

I didn't give an "evaluation". I only gave my opinion that he won't be much of a QB. One that I wouldn't want to trade for. So I guess I think your evaluation also sucks.

You think he'll develop into our future starter? You'd want to give up picks to obtain him? Keep in mind if that's the case, we won't be drafting anybody next year, since we'd now have our replacement for Romo in place.

Yeah I hated the signing when we made it. Ultimately whoever we sign in free agency is probably someone we will never want to see the field. Our best hope at this point is in Weeden.

You know who I do like as a backup though? Chase Daniels. I think he would work great in our offense but it will never happen. I don't think we are trading for anyone.

I think he has the physical talent to be a starter in the NFL. Not sure if he would develop to that point. It's hard to tell with QB's but I think he at least has some long term potential here. Unlike any of the other names being thrown out there. Of course it also depends on what you're giving up in a trade. We don't really have late picks in next years draft left to trade.

It is silly to even think about a trade scenario right now if things are. Now if Weeden gets hurt, yeah, I think think there might be some movement.

Moore was pretty much a handpicked Garrett guy. You know, like Brad Johnson.

You should be really really encouraged and stuff.
