I love these week 17 dual double-headers on FOX and CBS.

It's like a late Christmas gift to those of us w/o Sunday Ticket.

If I recall correctly. that would be the Jags in 2005 or 2006.

They lost on the road to the Patriots in the wild card round.
 
Once I was able to ditch my wife's relatives and get back into the game, the Cowboys closed the game strong just as I stated.

They closed on a 17-0 after the the family left.
 
If Green Bay could win while bloodying the Lions in the process I'd be fine with that.
 
The Packers are just running through this vaunted Lions D like a hot knife through butter.
 
Yeah, what do we say about that decision now? To rest or not to rest your starters.
 
You know, I've bitched, cheered, complained, moaned, and reveled during this season right up until the very end but I never, ever expected this team to hit 12 wins and have a division title when all is said and done.

There have been plenty of questionable moves and calls, plenty of lackluster performances but I will allow myself to enjoy a team that I believe at least has a chance to do something for the first time in 5 years because the way the league works these days, you never can tell. We have an offense that has the potential to be dominant and a defense that at least hangs in there and has a knack for making plays at times.

After the last few years, I will take it. I will take having players that are in the MVP discussion rather than the choker discussion. However far we go in the playoffs, I will enjoy this season and hope that maybe the arrow is pointing up again, warts and all.
 
I don't remember much pistol from GB...new look for them.
