Jesus, I really didn't expect him to miss the game at all. I figured they would just throw an eye patch on him and send him out there. I guess it must be serious in terms of potential for loss of eyesight.

Yeah he injured it during a game and had surgery on it already once. But knowing his work ethic he probably didn't give the eye any time to rest and it never healed properly.
 
BTW, the Vikings' color rush uniforms are hideous.

MDS’s pick: Cowboys 24, Vikings 16.

Florio’s take: If the Vikings don’t win this one, their chances of qualifying for the postseason, where they’d eventually be blown out, drop considerably. With voice of the Vikings (as well as PA and Florio podcast cohort) Paul Allen convinced the home team will win, I’ll humor him on this one. Especially since, if he’s wrong, I’ll have a tangible reason for reminding him of it on a regular basis, indefinitely. Besides, the Cowboys may now assume that they’re facing the likes of the Browns, 49ers, and Bears again, given the absence of coach Mike Zimmer.

Florio’s pick: Vikings 24, Cowboys 20.

Compared to 2007, 2014 and this year, I like this year's chances the most. I'm also more fond of the players this year around.
