Week 13 Thanksgiving Gameday Chatter | Cowboys vs. Eagles | 11/27/2014

I slept on it, and yep, am still disgusted. I can't remember the last time I turned a game off. The hurry up offense is our nemesis and we just can't adjust to get pressure. We got killed yesterday by it. The only thing that really surprised me was how inept our offense looked against a very average defense. I knew they would score point, I just hoped that we could hang with them.

The Eagles defense is not as average as you think. Also, I think we all overestimate our offensive scheme. It is not as top shelf as perceived. It lacks imagination and diversity, no matter how well we run it.

we're a big play pass offense. whie sanchez coud dink and dunk, if we cant hit witten, it's nothing but 25 yard passes

:faint

Yep and it's not going to change while Garrett is here. We can change playcallers all we want but until we get rid of the ginger they will have to utilize the slow developing pass plays that are the staple of his scheme

words...

It didn't feel like the run was all that stifled. Maybe that was the Cowboys just taking what was offered. It seemed like they were leaving guys running open deep, and a Romo on his game would have beat them to death. I really pray that happens in Philly.

20 carries for 70 yards is stifiled.

Nope. I do care that the Eagles and pretty much every quality opponent we face thinks we are an overrated joke and can prove it.

Balanced running would not have made any difference in this game. Dallas did so in the first half and was still dragging ass on the score board. A balanced attack presupposes there is an adequate passing game. It wasn't there the entire game. I agree Romo looked completely spent the entire game.

I don't think balanced running would have won us the game, but it would have prevented the Eagles from just teeing off on Romo for 4 sacks and a number of hits.

It was 22 carries for 88 yards. Even 3.6 yards per carry is good enough to get first downs from I would have felt better if we had been facing a lot more 3rd and 3 than 3rd and 6 or 3rd and 7s.

Also, we started the second half with some big runs. They definitely stifled the run in the first half. In the second, the Eagles defense showed signs of tiring, same as the Skins game. You can usually depend on the run being more effective in the 4th quarter than the first.

I don't think the run/pass ratio was a problem yesterday. Even while down double digits, we showed a commitment to the running game.

The problem is that our pass offense couldn't get shit going at any point in the game. Even when Romo had plenty of time to throw, guys weren't getting open.

I'd like to see a fresh offense implemented next year, but that's not likely to happen unless Garrett gets fired. What we could use is a WR that can consistently get open, because right now, we don't have one.

I saw several cases where there were WRs open and Romo was just WAY off target. He was off yesterday.

It definitely wasn't Romo's sharpest game, but I don't think it was a case of him leaving tons of opportunities on the field either.

Like I said, the offense as a whole had a really bad day, and that's all there is to it.

if 8-8, fired
10-6 and miss, no
Really? I don't think there's much difference. We are definitely trending downward, and looking to be outside
looking in.

He was way the hell off. I don't get it either, he's played so well of late. I do know his protection
was not what it has been, but even when he had time, his game was for shit. I wonder what the hell
his problem was. He hadn't looked so bad since week 1 vs 9ers.

I think it takes him a full week for his back to loosen up and be ready for another game. He's been skipping Wednesday practices for a reason.
