When NBC won the Sunday night football rights, they were awarded the premier night game of the week and they essentially swapped places with ESPN.

Sunday night went from the shitty game of the week to Monday night and vice versa. So since ESPN/ABC no longer had the premier game, they didn't need the premier coverage.

He was under contract, but he wanted out. ESPN essentially traded him for the rights to Oswald the Rabbit. I like to think it was out of respect for 30 years of work, but who knows what really happened
 
Cousins is a smart QB and they are confusing him right now by doing shit we don't normally do.
