Early in his career I was always impressed that he played the run so well while also compiling so many sacks
 
If Ware is healthy, he's worth it to a contending team.

The problem is, he may not have been worth it to an 8-8 team, which we thoroughly are.

And even less so when you consider that we simply couldn't afford it due to other bad moves we make like giving any CB $50 million dollars.

I'm very sad to see Ware go. He's a player I wanted to see finish his career in Dallas with 150 sacks (and hopefully, a ring).

But if he's not here, I can't think of a place I'd rather him be right now than Denver. I like Manning, I have no particular ill will towards the Broncos, and I'd like to see them win within the next 1-3 years. I'll pull for them in the AFC and in the Super Bowl, if they make it that far (given that Dallas for sure won't be there).

Denver's offense was manhandled in the Super Bowl with a very healthy Manning. Denver will need to change something on the offense because they are a one man show on offense presently. Stifle Manning and you beat Denver. Seatlle gave everyone a blueprint.

Having the blueprint and being able to execute it are different things. Who else can get physical like Seattle, both on the lines and with the WR's out wide? Nobody. If Denver plays them again and is actually able to protect Manning or if they just play someone else, they are favored.

Yep.

The pressure got to Manning that day.

If they play again, that may not happen.

Denver has the weapons and the defense to beat any team in this league any given day.

It wasn't just being physical. Seattle didn't allow the receivers to run their routes. Manning had nowhere to go.

That was part of the physicality. They have big, strong CBs and Safeties which pushed the Denver WRs around. But those kinds of things can be adjusted for...unfortunately, the pass rush wouldn't allow the adjustments to take place.

Exactly.

Denver fortifying their defense makes them even better than last year and they'll most certainly be the favorite to return to the SB, but they lost that SB because their offense couldn't do a damn thing.

The 2013 Broncos and the 2007 Pats taught us that regardless of how explosive you are as a passing team, if you can't be physical and run the ball the with consistency, you will eventually be slowed down by a good defense.

Seattle really exposed how soft the Broncos were. While we all knew they were a finesse offense, I was shocked at how quickly the Broncos receivers folded at the first sign of contact. Seattle came out and punched them in the mouth in that 1st quarter and the Broncos offense pretty much just gave up right then and there.

I get where Deuce is coming from saying you have to be able to execute that gameplan against them, but the ease in which Seattle did it has to be concerning.

Looks like Ware has on skinny jeans, just like Ace wears. Plus, Ware's jeans are about as tall as Ace.
 
Good for Ware. Hopefully he does get a ring. At the very least he should at least be involved in Divisional/Conference Championship games for a change.

If he can stay healthy I still think he can be a 7-10 sack guy. I just didn't want Dallas rolling the dice on his health and production. Denver is in a position where they can afford to do that.

IRVING, Texas -- In meeting with the media after signing a three-year deal with the Denver Broncos, DeMarcus Ware opened his news conference with words of thanks to Dallas Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones and his first coach, Bill Parcells.

"To Mr. Jones for gracefully letting me go out in the market and let me choose where I can finish my career at, I want to thank him for that,” Ware said. “And I want to wish my former teammates, coaches and just the Cowboys good luck in their season.”

Ware was cut by the Cowboys on Tuesday and found a home in Denver less than 12 hours later to the tune of a three-year deal, with $20 million guaranteed.

The Cowboys were set to pay Ware $12.75 million. He will make $13 million from the Broncos this year.

In nine seasons, Ware became the Cowboys' all-time leader in sacks with 117. He was named to the Pro Bowl seven times. Last year, however, he missed the first three games of his career and was held to six sacks.

The Cowboys were determined to move on from Ware, who turns 32 in July. The Broncos were happy to embrace him.

"We know how much more football he has in him," Broncos executive John Elway said.
