Von Miller Signing With Dallas

I'm not going to get excited about Von Miller. But I do think he brings a little added vet leadership in the pass rush room. He's going to just be a depth piece. But I think he will perform well in that role. This isn't the same guy he was when he was 30. But he can still play in the NFL. Not totally washed yet.

I hope he fares better than Aldon Smith, who had a great first game against the Rams and then faded week by week.

Don’t be stupid.

He has a ways to go, despite @Cotton asserting he is a finished product.

This was a shock and awe thing, much like what the Rams will likely do with Donald.
Is that “shock and awe thing” in the room with us?

This is great and all, but I did not seem to notice a bunch of improved talent in his wake from Los Angeles to Buffalo to Washington.
That’s up to each player, not Miller. It’s not like he’s some coach out there, you have to really want to learn

And with the transient nature of the sport, how are we supposed to objectively measure his impact? It’s not like he entered a situation and left behind exactly the same people.

You’d need some testimonies, reporter.

I expect about what got delivered by a similar hiring assassin last year. I would prefer getting Lawrence that time without a progress stopper, or even deny Houston opportunities..but hey. This “splash move” is really not that big of a deal as far as I am concerned. We got Temu Myles Garrett.

No Clowney. Fowler was before that.

I agree that he's basically about the caliber of Clowney, but if that's the case he will make some important contributions, especially if the offense is about as good as it was last year and the defense is around average.

I don't know if he's as good as Clowney still is. I thought Clowney handled himself well last year run or pass and all but no pitch count.

But Miller can impact specific game situations that make him valuable at carefully selected moments throughout the year.

As bad as last year’s unit was, plenty of room for up if you want to think of it that way.
