Video Game Chatter

I'm sure it's because Rockstar's main resources have been tied up with GTA V.

I'd bet RDR2 is up next. 'Course that means it'll be another 2 years.

Now they need to do a Pirate game set in the Caribbean with the same treatment.

It's already been 3 years, why not a couple more. I agree about a pirate game with an open world. Hell they probably should have done that 5 years ago when pirates were massively popular. I could really get into a game like that though.

So Skyrim is pretty cool so far. I can turn into a werewolf, so I've got that going for me.

I'm pacomoixa on Steam, Schmitty.

I've never been intrigued by the Bioshock games, but I saw the Bioshock Infinte 1 hour demo available on PS+ and thought to give it a try since it received such good reviews.

It was a trippy game and it pretty good one too. I don't wanna spend 60 bucks on it, but I do want to keep playing.

I really tried to get into Bioshock. I bought the first one at gamestop for like 10 bucks, but I hated it. Stopped playing after about 45 minutes of gameplay.

The entire series has received excellent reviews but yet it just doesn't catch my interest.

If it weren't free, I wouldn't have checked the new one out either, but I do have to admit it had me interested as I played. I'd like to keep playing but not enough to go out and buy it.

Mass Effect fans: The rumors about the new ME game have been all over the place, but one that is gaining a lot of traction is that it will be based on a squad member. Obviously it won't be about Shepard, so the rumor is they will pick a squad member and base if off of their life, prequel style.

Who would you choose? The overwhelming majority of people that I've read pick Garrus. I liked him but he was far from my favorite.

My choice would be either Liara, Jack, or Thane.

I never cared for the first one either. I purchased Bioshock Infinite because it got rave reviews and I got it at half price, and I played it and beat it. It was fine, but I didn't love it and wouldn't play it again.

Unlike Skyrim which I've sunken hundreds of hours into or Red Dead Redemption which I've beaten 3 times or the Uncharteds which I've platinum'd or near platinum'd.

Gun to my head.... I go Garrus or possibly Thane. Urdnot Wrex is too one-dimensional even though I liked him.

The problem is.... aren't any of the squadmates possibly dead after the events of Mass Effect 2? I haven't beaten the third one, so I'd suspect any sequel based on those people would have to be a prequel.

I'll tell you who'd I'd like but you'll never see.... Mordin Solus. He was the best character in either of the first two games, IMO. But I heard they got a new guy to voice him for ME3 and he wasn't as good.

Frankly, Liana and Tali both annoy the fuck out of me. I could have done without either of them in the games at all.

I think it's all based on a prequel.

Mordin was great, I didn't even realize it was a new voice actor so he can't be all bad.

Jack does not get much love, but she was one of my favorite characters by far. I loved Liara, too. Garrus annoyed the fuck out of me.

Different strokes.

I can't believe you haven't finished ME3.

I played Mass Effect for the first time less than 6 months ago and I've already played through the entire series twice.

Ironically I think, the weakest point of the voice acting for Mass Effect was the male Shepard. That guys sucks... very wooden and non emotional. But for some reason it works.

I originally played through 1 and 2 on Xbox 360.

Then my Xbox 360 fried, and so I repurchased all three on PC. I spent some time trying to convert my Xbox saves onto my PC so I could use my same character (apparently this IS possible), but I eventually got frustrated and gave up, and played 1 and 2 straight through almost nonstop (ie, playing no other games).

Then when I got a couple hours into Mass Effect 3, I found I was a little burnt out.

I'm sure I'll go back to it eventually. Playing through the first two so quickly, with no time off in between waiting for the next release (as is what happened when I had first played them) I think made me a little tired of it. I felt #3 was getting kinda cheesy. But the series as a whole I would definitely classify as "must play." Hell, I'm trying to get a buddy of mine to finish ME2, I always harass him about it.

I love both Bioshock and Infinite

You know, as good as PS+ is, it fails in comparison to the PS+ they get over in Europe.

Dallen, have you seen their lineup over the same time that we've had ours? It totally kills what we've received.

If PS+ is a good deal for us (and I think it is), then it is an absolute steal for those bastids over there.

I have, but I try not to think about it. It is nuts what they get over there. It all comes down to where the publishers will allow them to include it, but it sucks
