Wait... you can do that? How? Does it have the players names or just numbers?

I got NCAA 2014 but I didn't like how they changed the recruiting part, so went back to 2013. What I hate about the recruiting cycle is how unrealistic it is with all the 5 star white runningbacks and skill position players. Not racist here but thats completely unrealistic.
They update everything including ratings and appearance for star players

Yep. There's about 5 dedicated gamers who go through the painstaking process of updating every minute detail of every single NCAA player for every team....FBS teams as well from what I've read.

They make it available for XBox and PS systems.

I still have the final NCAA game made and update the rosters every year off of Operation Sports.

I hope that game finds a way to come back.

Dood! How can u do that? What about the ultra cool hit stick or whatever you get in Madden every year?? Think of the poor graphiX!

I’ve played a ton of Madden this weekend on rental to determine if it’s worth buying. It’s not.

More of the same garbage with pumping money into flashy cut scenes and the worst story mode you’ll ever see while ignoring decade long gameplay mechanic issues. The last straw was watching the DBs speedburst out of breaks to make picks when their backs were turned and clearly beaten.

Also, Mayfield is hot garbage. I played with him in career mode and he seem to fumble every other time he took off to run.

Hey, it will get fixed in a patch or something. :dunce

That's STILL in the game?

Sheesh.

Why haven't they completely scrapped that engine and built a new one from the ground up? It's not like they don't have the time to do so being as they have zero competition.

I know you're joking, but it really is a shame that NCAA isn't around anymore because it was really was the superior game.

I think the reason why from 2011-2014 that it was superior to Madden is because they focused a lot on gameplay whereas that's secondary for the Madden team.

As Deuce pointed out, it's about hit sticks, weapon ratings, story modes or whatever other back-of-the-box idea they can think of that will get the mouth-breathers excited.

NCAA 11 was an absolute gem of a football game.

You boys up to round up the old DCC posse? :art

We'll be missing a lot of the old gang, but maybe we can get some new guys to join.

Those original RDR online sessions were the most fun I ever had playing online with the DCC.....even more fun than the original Madden league.

The moment that always sticks in my mind is Schmitty killing Thorn, followed by him saying "Suck it, Thorn! Oh wait....."

:lol

Good times.

Possibly, but I have such limited time to game anymore.

The world of family and responsibility forces one to choose priorities because there simply is no way to have all your wants without neglecting the family needs. Welcome to the big leagues of life. :art

How's the Pi holding up?

I've been working on mine for a damn week trying to figure it out, still haven't been able to play a game yet.

I have had hardly no time to play it, but I've definitely fired it up and got it working.

What's your issue? I can help you probably.

I've worked through several issues, and thought I'd worked it all out.

I've copied a few Atari and NES roms to the Pi and they're listed in Emulation Station.

Every one of them will try to load, but then it takes me right back to the game menu.

Odd. Did you add the ROMS to the SD card over network, right? Cause that's like the only official way to do it.

I would check out videos from a guy named ETAPrime on youtube, here are some that might be helpful.

No, I copied them over on a USB stick...can't get my wifi to connect either.

Thanks for the vids.

Ok, so.... I'm not sure it is possible to run them by copying from a USB stick. As the videos explain.

You MUST connect the Pi to your network, and then you must copy them from a computer on the same network that has the ROMs, to the Pi, to the correct folders.

That may be your problem.

I'll find a video about how to connect the pi to Wifi, too.

Yeah, some of those presume you need a dongle. But yours shouldn't, the 3 comes with onboard wifi. I had to go into the set up screens and connect it, but it wasn't hard once I had the step by step instructions.

Just corrected the issue by wiping out my home wireless config and starting over. The Pi has connected and I was able to copy of the ROMs that weren't working before.

Looks like my son and I will be playing NES ExciteBike for the rest of the evening.

Thanks for your help, mschmidt64.

I'm gonna start planning a cabinet build now, gotta get this setup looking legit.
