TV Thread

You are a monster. We have a rule we watch Christmas shit as a family. For example, we watched Krampus tonight before dinner.

I may be, but I get to watch what I want because I am a man... I'M 40....... 3!

My kids get no say what so ever.

A friend of mine who got out of the Army a couple of years ago has been selected to participate on this upcoming CBS reality series, 'Hunted'.

The premise of the show reminds me of the movie 'Enemy of the State'. The contestants are broken up into teams of two (he'll be on team Echo) and have to avoid FBI/government surveillance.

So that means they have to go completely off the grid. No cell phones, avoid traffic cameras, ATMs, etc.

The premiere is Jan 22 immediately following the AFC Championship game.

Is Gremlins a Christmas movie? I say yes. My wife disagrees.

I would have to say yes as well.

I've already started building my Christmas Eve movie watch list.

A Christmas Story
Christmas Vacation
Die Hard
Scrooged
Friday After Next

Might have to throw Gremlins on there.

Die Hard.

Good one.

We probably need to take this to the movie thread.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is another great Shane Black Christmas movie.

I get into these series on Netflix and have to finish them out of pride. I mean, I've made it this far, so I'm not quitting.

The Man in the High Castle is good and excruciating to watch. Much of it is captivating but it gets long in places. It is like sex on X...sometimes it just takes too long for no good reason.

I just started binging Game of Thrones last week. I am a few episodes into Season 2 now and relatively impressed with the show so far. In one way it is nice to have so much of the story still out in front of me but on the other hand I really have to be careful to avoid spoilers since I got into it so late. I don't even want to IMDB or Google any of the actors because I am afraid I'll see "21 episodes" or "...played the character XXXXXXXX on Game of Thrones seasons 1–3" or whatever. I am going to just wait until I catch up to look into anything like that I guess.

The OA on Netflix.

This looks gud.

Uh, I just finished this.

Don't watch it. Really.

After eight episodes, it will just piss you off.

1big, you were right. My reviews. They suck.

I just read that Netflix remade One Day at a Time and it was good.

Wonder if there is a daughter as hot as Bertinelli?

Started watching Medici on Netflix. It is really good. The scenery is amazing (but as much as they try, the detail of Renaissance work doesn't show up on TV)

I don't know if it's been discussed here before, but a Shameless is a Showtime show that has been put on Netflix. Im about 10 eps in and its good. Solid mix of humor and drama and William H Macy delivers.

It has been great all the way through.

If anyone uses Amazon, you can get a trial month of Showtime and binge the last season that isn't on Netflix. I think you can get a trial month through their stand alone as well.

Great indy music throughout as well.
