Trevon Diggs Released

If the rule is you're supposed to make the request prior to the game and Diggs waited until after, I don't blame them for saying no. You can't have special rules depending on the player.

I wonder if he even asked or if he just straight no showed for the flight.

If there was a set rule, I agree with you. But, it sounds like players just normally ask before the game and Diggs didn't.

I can't believe how many people (not here) I'm seeing who are defending Diggs on this. I don't get that at all. This guy has been a turd all year (and probably longer) with terrible attitude and effort, but people think he was wronged somehow?

I mean, we've been asking for greater discipline and accountability for years and you're finally seeing a little, and they're mad at the coach and management for it.

I know people are stupid, but it's still surprising.

I don’t give a shit. Thanks for the romantic moments. Now fuck off. I don’t give a fuck how “sour” the relationship is, this is one of two things. Did it actually “sour” or he simply can’t play anymore. I am leaning towards the latter.

Besides, it doesn't really hurt Diggs. He was always getting cut after the year. They actually did him a solid if a playoff team wants to bring him on.

They actually led off the Sounds from the Sidelines this week with the kid.

Didn't post it because who cares about that game.
I’ll bet someone picks him up for playoff depth, once the reg season ends to avoid any offsets

I guess he did stay against the team's will according to Mosher. Regardless, I'm glad he is no longer our problem.

I'm pretty sure this is accurate. This definitely just wasn't about a skipped flight.

If Diggs were in good standing with the organization and had been acting like a pro the entire time, I'm pretty sure they'd have had no issue with him staying behind in DC with his family. It's a fairly common request that's normally approved.

I don't know all the details about what Diggs was or wasn't doing throughout the years, but it seems like there's enough information out there that shows that he's not exactly a model professional. With that being the case, I'd have declined his request as well if I were in Schotteheimer's shoes.

Don't ask me for special favors/exemptions if you can't conduct yourself as a professional. Especially when your on field performance has slipped dramatically as well. Three years ago he probably could have got away with this because of his production.....but not in 2025.

Im not. If true and Im reading it correctly then this is shitty considering they get time off after the game. If it was any other time of year I could see but this is the holidays. There are things more important in this life than football.

Yeah I'm with you.

I know everyone hates Diggs but that emotion shouldn't cause your judgement to be clouded.

I've got no problem letting him go as I wanted him gone anyway, but refusing to let him stay in DC with his family when they were already "off" is extremely petty. It also comes across as a boss looking for a reason to upset their employee in hopes that the employee will act in a way that justifies firing them.

Be better, Cowboys.

I still think its Bullshit. Full load of it. If it was any other time of the year I would understand but they already had to give up Christmas day to play a fucking game. His family is right there. Its time to have some understanding even if he is a shit.

I'm not going to just single Diggs out for this inept pass defense.

I ran across a post the other day that that showed QBR, completion %, TDs, etc, vs every CB on the Cowboys roster. Practically all of them have been bad on an embarrassing level.

Diggs just happened to be the shortest midget in the room.

I understand that but 156.3 level bad? I expect that from Stewert and trikezewhatshisface but Diggs should have enough talent to overcome shitty scheme a little bit.

I'll have to see if I can find that post.

They weren't 156.3 bad but I could have sworn there were some 120s in there.
