Training Camp/OTA's Chatter Thread...

In a sick way I hope they figure out he is done and move on. I don't want them pining away for his return. Just tired of the constant finger crossing.

Fat chance. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see the Cowboys keep Lee on the roster in hopes that he can return in time for the playoffs.

Terry Glenn circa 2007.

That's exactly what will happen.

After all our bitching and moaning and he'll probably only end up with a mild knee sprain.

We're going 8-8 with a healthy Sean Lee. No Lee all year and Hitchens as our starting LB gives us a realistic shot at 5-11 and a top 5 pick.

Not that I'm hoping for a torn ACL or anything...

I'm sure the Cowboys' docs will tell us he's day-to-day as his leg is being amputated

Maybe the best course will be to combine Lee & Johnson into one player

You're putting way too much weight in the play of our MLBer. Especially considering the amount of time he has missed over the last few years that we went 8-8.

Now Jerry has another built-in excuse to keep Garrett for yet another season.

Agreed, I couldn't really care less if we suck this year as long as Garrett is out, the chances of us going QB in the 1st would rise dramatically too.

I dunno. If our defense gets rolled at historic levels again (and really, why won't it), the impetus to throw the resources there (and Romo's contract) will be even higher.

If he signs Garrett to an extension using an injury excuse that's bullshit.

Romo getting hurt should have been his only pass and that was last year.

You can't just plug in any old guy at MLB in a Tampa style D because the responsibilities are a little more than a standard free flowing 4-3 where sometimes you can get by with a two down thumper who can't run and cover so well. Right now, we have no nickel MLB without Lee and will need to get creative.

You do that, yes, you will have an average D at best to bad D at worst.

Lee has missed 15 games over the last 2 seasons so I wouldn't say we went 8-8 with a healthy Sean Lee.

I can't wait for the games with Weeden as the QB and Hitchens at MLB.

Not trying to say the Middle Lber isn't important to this defense, it definitely is. Just not worth a 3 game swing in terms of wins or losses. The loss of Sean Lee stings but we all should have been expecting that at some point anyway.

only Lee could get hurt in a non-contact drill
