The Work Thread..

I just hired my first group of Ukrainian refugees this past week.

These dudes are funny as shit.
 
Well it turns out this crazy ass one I fired rolled up in the facility parking lot in a champagne Crown Vic and tried to beat another girls ass, then chases her home 40 miles and then shoots up her house.

In the WTF department.

I have been in my current position since October last year. We have a general manager who is nominally my boss and the Assistant GM who is technically on par with me but acts as my supervisor. The AGM and I get along great and I love what I do.

In September the GM decides to shit all over my performance review. I don’t agree with it but I try working with him to fix the issue.

Today I was terminated for not performing work up to the expected standard. The AGM doesn’t agree with it and the reasoning I was given was bullshit.

I will write the board of directors a letter letting them know my thoughts but that won’t change anything. Pisses me off because I liked my job and I was never given any real feedback on anything to improve on. Plus of course it being this time of year. My vacation time payout and small severance will keep me comfortable for the next couple months but I really wasn’t looking forward to job searching again. FML
