Yeah, not sure what his angle was there. But I am relieved to know that he'll be wearing his cowboys tie in his brothers honor. ~sniff~ So touching.
But how will he tie it?

That was my take from the whole thing, it would be better if he put a hangman's noose in the tie. You know, if he wanted to honor his brother.
You time stamping sonofabitch.
WOW.
This the most disgusting thing I have ever read from him.
How do you use your brothers death to prop yourself for being so rational and a amateur detective in the same post?
This dude.
That was my reaction as well. Pretty pathetic, as usual, to attempt to make himself look like some sort of exceptional human being. He really could have punched it up a bit though with some additions like:
"At the end of the phone call Detective Stillwater (as it turns out he played for a rival high school football team and remembered a game where I terrorized his team's opposing quarterback to the point that he was crying on the bench...I believe I had 5 sacks and 3 forced fumbles that game) said to me 'Nice talking with you Mike. And let me just say you are quite possibly the finest example of a man I have encountered in all my years on Earth'. The honesty and sincerity his eyes came right through the phone. His voice trembled and broke a little bit as he said it. I downplayed his compliment of my character though because, as I tell anyone who will listen, I am probably the most humble guy who has ever walked this planet. 'Well, I damn sure hope I can sit down and have a beer with you someday anyway, Mike', he said. 'Thanks partner', I replied, 'but I don't drink', I explained. 'Of course you don't, Mike. Of course you don't. God bless you.' he concluded. 'He already has, friend, he already has', I answered. He didn't speak another word but his smile was audible and I feel like his eyes were closed and his head nodding in the affirmative as he ended the call."

You forgot the part where the detective begrudgingly compliments the cowboys greatness despite being a lifelong cardinals fan. That was my reaction as well. Yea, I'm sure he was just looking around
Hostile said:Technically, since he didn't buy anything, that is exactly what he was doing. I once ducked into a gay bar to avoid the hail, and had a freaking blast laughing with one guy there. It didn't mean I was shopping.
THUMPER said:The hail you say?
Hostile said:It was coming down like mad, and I ran off the sidewalk into this bar. This very funny gay guy says, "Any old port in a storm sailor?"
I started laughing and so did he and everyone who heard it. He offered me a drink. I told him I don't drink, and he said, "Well, it's a damned good thing you can laugh then."
Beats the story of my friend Jeff who broke his glasses, had no contacts, and caught a bus to the optometrist. He had to tell the bus driver where he wanted to get off and then he walked to the office. Or so he thought. He couldn't see anything basically. Is as blind as a bat without his glasses. So he goes to the desk up front. Is asked if he has an appointment. He said no, and they told him not to worry they had openings. Next thing he knew they were handing him a specimen bottle. He could not figure out why he needed to give a urine sample for an eye exam. Turns out he was in the sperm bank. He was so blind the nurse there had to take him by the arm and take him like 3 doors down to the right place.
How do we know zeke didn't buy anything?

About the only thing believable in all of this crap is that he was in a gay bar. Notice the smooth segue from the gay bar to a story about a friend involving sperm. Eh? Eh?
More appalled by the story about "Jeff" that sounds like it was lifted from a pulp joke book from the 1970s.
A man breaks his glasses and gets on a bus to go to the optometrist. The man, almost blind as a bat, steps off at a stop and goes into the office and checks in. They give him a cup and he goes "what's this for", the nurse says...
Har, har har. Laffs abound.

You posted this as I was looking for/uploading the following images. I was going to make a very similar point that his influences for this story are pretty obvious

That's what I don't get.
Nobody, I mean, nobody leads that kind of socially connected life where they always have a friend that has done this and so and so.
No matter the situation, either they, or a "friend" has done something similar, which of course turns any conversation's focus back towards them.
It is a symptom of pathological liars.
Hostile said:So I wonde rif my friend Tommy has hear about this. Big time Vikings fan, from Minnesota but living out here now.
He answers his cell and says, "What are your guys going to do with Tony Romo hurting his back again?"
I replied, "The same thing your guys are going to do with Teddy going down today."
He thought I was kidding. I wasn't. I wouldn't joke about something like that.
