You see, can't admit that it was a bad choice. Dude was bad for the team, yet folks wanted to portray him as a wonderful guy and he would save us.

When your desire for something blinds you to the facts, you make bad decisions. Hardy is a perfect example.

I survived the CZ and can do so still. The smugness here is just as bad as the negativism there.

Bad choice yes. Given how he was a bad influence on Randy Gregory, yes it was. I will admit that. If that makes you feel better.

However, our argument was over his guilt or innocence. I have not changed my mind there. If that is me being smug to you, then I guess I will plead guilty.

I will call my shot right now, Jaylon Smith will be better than any other player taken in round 2 or 3 of this draft and all the hand wringing over who we could have gotten will look very stupid on a lot of opinion ledgers. I will grant you it may not be this year. But it may be this year. Everyone who disliked the choice is wrong. Dead wrong.

No joke, and it appears time hasn't changed things. My first post and it gets a personal flame. Even brought my family into it.

Hos didnt flame you though, not that I saw. The Hardy signing blew up in our faces, very true. Hardly anything to be crowing about though. See, heres the thing,......if folks remember I was a big vocal critic of drafting Gregory. Didnt like the pick AT ALL for many reasons. Partly for his off field baggage, and partly because after seeing him play for much of his college career I wasnt sold. BUT..........Once he was drafted I did nothing but hope for the best. Now he is suspended, I have even more negative feelings towards the guy now,... but guess what? I STILL hope for the best with him and hope he proves me wrong. Because if Gregory proves me wrong than its good for the team. You see,... I would much rather have the TEAM be right about their assessment of Gregory than ME be right. Because if I am right in my assessment of Gregory than that is bad for the team. My need to have my ego stroked for being correct about Gregory is FAR OUTWEIGHED by my wish for our team to do great things,... including Gregory. In short......I am MUCH MORE a fan of the TEAM than I am a fan of having some kind of need to be proven correct.

Time hasn't changed anything in this way, I still respect you, and apparently you still don't respect me. Those were your words as to why you left. All because I didn't think the guy did what she accused him of, and still don't. You came here and posted this to stir that up, not me. I would have never brought it up ever again. But apparently you think my nose should be rubbed in it that Hardy will not be back. So rub away. I already said in that respect you are right.

You brought your family into it. How would I have even known there was a rift with your son had you not brought it up? There is no way I could have known things were okay with your son because you shut off communication, and as you clearly said, went to CZ for a year. As you recall I begged you to forget me and repair things with him. Begged you man. Begged. I told you I wasn't important, but he was.

You left here leaving me to believe that opinions of Greg Hardy's innocence or guilt was capable of driving wedges between you and anyone who disagreed with you. On one respect I am clearly right. Look at this. I do not care if you ever respect me again, but I thank God things are okay with your son, as he shared with us.

I privately apologized to your son. I didn't even know he was your son. I publicly apologize to you for bringing it up. I doubt I will get the same respect or courtesy. And that is okay. Enjoy your vindication. I hope you will stay. I never asked you to leave. I never asked you to forgive me for my opinions that you can't respect. Hos, you don't get it. What I say in a private message, I expect to be kept private. I didn't mention you by name when I posted, you responded by flaming me. My post was not even directed at you particulary, but at everyone that thought Hardy was a great guy and would save the team. YOU TOOK IT PERSONAL! You keep saying you respect me, then BLAME!

I really got used to CZ, once I quit being upset at the haters. At least I didn't have to kiss the ring.

I've noticed that one of Hos's favorite things to say when he's speaking to someone whom he's had a disagreement or spat with is (and I'm paraphrasing) -- "I wish you nothing but the best. I know you won't wish me the same, but I'm ok with that."

If it doesn't matter to him that the person he's duking it out with doesn't share well wishes back, then why always publicly criticize them for not doing so?

Craig is an old school football guy. Knows his stuff, especially about the Packers. Basically he is all of us maniacs in green and yellow (that ain't gold) instead of Blue and Silver (capitalized on purpose to emphasize the importance difference).

I walked in his office and he said, "I hate you. You guys stole Jaylon Smith."

I asked him his opinion on the risk. He said, "I wanted the Packers to take him in round 1." I asked him if he felt the same way about Myles Jack (we are in Pac 12 country) and he said no. When I asked him why, he said, "In the second round I would have loved to get Jack, but I just think Smith is better overall. You stole him."

I told him I thought Jacksonville's draft was impressive, and he agreed. Then he added, "I think Rico Gathers was a genius pick." His final comment. "Dallas had the best draft of any team."
