The Great Amigo Thread...

Well, that made my point. At "one time" meaning a long time ago it was a saying.

This guy is not that damn old, yet he posts his thoughts like he is stuck at the beginning of the last century.

Maybe he read too many Mickey Spillane novels.

]My point is, I don't trail the herd. I heard all that, and I still kept my head level and my feet planted. Why? Because I trust the people I listen to that much.

If Dallas had no interest in Peterson at all, I'd be man enough to say it. There is interest. They have an agreement with his agent for a contract amount if the Vikings decide to move him. This is all very real, and if the Vikings get their heads back into reality, which I openly admit may not happen, this trade could still go down. Maybe it is for veteran players, not draft picks. I don't know, but the door is not closed, so keep your mind open. Friendly advice. You certainly do not have to.

I have already openly admitted I am no longer at 90% sure we will acquire him. I am 100% sure the Cowboys want him, but they are not going to screw this up.

You know what I want to see? Gurley there at 11. I do not think they will be able to pass him up. They'd be stupid to. Similar to when the Colts had Peyton Manning but couldn't pass up Andrew Luck. Have a seatbelt handy, because if they take Gurley, the Internet might explode.

I'll be that burning smell of sulphur people notice if that apocalypse happens.

If Gurley is there at 11, I hope Jerry gets on the phone to Rick Spielman and simply says, "Well?"

What the fuck does this mean?

Who the fuck talks like this?

I have a better question:

WTF was the point of that story?

I got some random guys to give a Giants fan some shit after I started it, and then I walked away feeling proud?

What a stupid, pointless tale that I'd bet isn't even true.

Hey, guyz. There's this idiot Cowboys fan that was talking about a rebellion. I told him about Garrett's process in front of all his buds and then spun his name into IamRetard. His face was red as I signed off and his buds kept one-upping my nickname.

Obviously right now, I think Odighizuwa is probably the highest guy on our board. I wouldn't be shocked if we make a move up in this round to get him the same way we did last year for Lawrence.

Michael Bennett is still there. RB is still deep, and I do not think Peterson rumors are over despite Chris Mortenson's comments last night to tend the Draft. I never thought Thursday was his moving day to start with.

Then early in the 2nd round.

I will just put this right here.

Then Cowboys draft Randy Gregory

Hostile said:

And not one single person has said a single word about him being wrong about Odighizuwa.

And strangely enough, the consensus of that board is that Gregory was a bad pick. They absolutely LOOOOVED the Jones pick yesterday, though.

He's still holding on to the Peterson thing?

I cannot remember the last time I was this excited about our draft picks........looking forward to that trip to Oxnard baby!
It was last year, you flaming retard. Then the year before that, and the year before that...

Yes.

A Short Reaction To The Draft So Far

Hostile said:
I began this Draft thinking that AD is coming here through some kind of deal. Nothing really has changed that and our not taking a RB means I have not let the idea go. Yeah, I know there are already people who think we're going to go with that we already have. Let me just say, I remain skeptical of that and still think we could land the big monster. Stephen and Jerry both said no draft picks for veterans. They didn't say no veterans traded for. Never give up.

Okay, I was pretty sure that Marinelli was going to stand on the table for Odighizuwa. I believe they did not expect Byron Jones to be there. If he had not been I think OO is the pick. Yes, even over Randy Gregory. I think we would not have taken Gregory in the 1st round. I have heard a rumor that the 2 guys we would have taken over OO were Jones and Shaq Thompson, but he went earlier to Carolina.

When Gregory got to the 60 pick I think the value there was far greater than OO. I love the kid, and would have accepted either, but I am more excited about Gregory as a pass rusher. I wonder if we will use him as an OLB once Hardy is reinstated? Can you imagine a front seven of these guys on passing downs?

Lawrence...Mincey...Crawford...Hardy

Lee..............McClain.............Gregory

Could be scary to face.

I am not averse to the Chaz Green pick, but honestly, I'd rather have grabbed Hundley or Petty for the future. I get that Free is a question mark so the pick makes some sense to me. I had another OT higher, but we liked this guy and he is versatile for sure. I'd have liked to see us roll the dice on La'El Collins. I have a feeling he's going to be exonerated. Can you imagine 3 players with 1st round grades? Ah well, it wasn't to be.

Looking forward I can't help but wonder why Michael Bennett is still on the board?

I still believe Peterson is in play. Maybe not this weekend but there is still a long time before any real football gets played.

I think you are hyping OO to much. He didn't go until the 3rd round. He would have been a massive reach at 27.

I would have loved to take a flyer on the LSU Tackle. I guess his agent said if he wasn't selected before the 4th he wouldn't sign a contract and re enter next year.

I WOULD LOVE MICHEAL BENNETT. I think he would be a great fit and able to spell Crawford.

Maybe the Vikings will take Dexter Coakley.

Why not....its getting to that point with all this.

Hostile said:
You know better than that with me. Don't let your emotion rule.

AAAaaaah, SHIT! It's getting tense up in heeyaa.

SDogo said:
That was not a shot at you brother. I'm strongly in the corner it's never gonna happen but you and I both know I have been on a crusade like yours for a player in the past myself. I have just read some crazy ass **** the last 2 days. Your scenario(s) are the only one's that make any sense. It's the others that have me burnt out on this.

You might want to get ready. Not immediately. I think the pressure on the Vikings isn't quite right just yet.

What a letdown. Fags.

The next key date for Peterson and the Vikings is probably May 26th. Will he show up for mini camp and participate? Will he show up with a mystery injury? Will he not show up at all and risk a fine?

Here's the math. 2015 is $15.4 M. 2016 is $15 M. 2017 is $17 M. grand total is 3 years $47.4 M. $2.4 M is all that is left guaranteed. If The Vikings cut him it saves them $12.75 M on the cap.

Simple question...name any player you want on your team and are willing to pay $15.4 M when he does not want to be there?

Jerry Jones said we did not have RB down as a draft need. Could that be because we think the RBs we have are good enough? Yes. Frankly that is possible. I am skeptical of that. Can't it also mean there is another plan in place? Equally frankly, of course that is possible. Jerry and Stephen also said they were not trading picks for a veteran player. We haven't. That doesn't mean we wouldn't trade veteran players for a veteran player. That doesn't mean we wouldn't trade future considerations for a veteran player.

I said before, if anyone thinks there is not interest in this player they are deluding themselves. He is the best RB in the game bar none. What you need to take away from this most of all is not the interest in him. That is natural. He's a Texas native, born and bred Cowboys fan, and has openly stated this fit would be nice. The rumors of asking price weren't out there for nothing. The Vikings are trying to play hard ball, and they do not have the right helmet on. I think they tried to get a high pick this year. I don't think we ever intended to pay it. That doesn't mean he can't be acquired. There's a thing called the trade deadline. it may take a future pick, but a future pick is not a pick right now that we would not use on a veteran player.

I just don't think the math makes sense except the way I am explaining it. That is merely my opinion, but again, I wouldn't be this hot if I didn't know the interest in him is real. That isn't me and you guys all know that.

:lol

OO is the better value at 27 than Gregory, but not at 60.

Awesome

Keeps hassling Peterson...basically informing of stuff like like the Vikings are gonna cave. I am sure Adrian appreciates the encouragement from someone in the know.

I'm really surprised he does not have some YouTube channel, telling us how much insider info he has or a weekly keys to winning.

Because it's easy to lie through text on a forum somewhere. But if he actually got on YouTube and showed his face and started saying he knew people or openly admitted to talking to Peterson's dad and shit like that, because it's a medium that is far more known to the public and would catch someone's eyes and ears somewhere, he would risk having these people he claims to have talked to come out and say they don't know who he is or whatever, thereby destroying all of his bullshit tales.

No way does that loser put himself out like that.

Ah, but you forget that he has openly challenged both Steve Dennis and Stephen A. Smith to on-air debates.

On a Cowboys only forum.

That they probably don't read.

And they have ducked him.

Yeah.
