Wut? He's saying there's a 70% chance it shortens the career of a couple different players. Meaning guys like Romo and Witten. That a new coach would probably phase them out. How the hell did you get that it would shorten the career of 70% of the roster? :lol

He means that Romo and Witten love Garrett so gosh darn much they'll keep playing past the point at which they would retire under another coach.

I think that's the point. Both players probably have little game left to be shortened. Romo maybe two seasons and Witten about the same.
