Does the US get to decide that, or does Taiwan have a say in it?

Taiwan currently operates as an independent nation and would like to keep it that way.

I'd say that counts for something, no matter what China wants and no matter what we may or may not have said in the past.

Same shit applies to Ukraine. They'd like to be their own country too. No one gives a shit. Why the outrage and sympathy for Taiwan?

I'm talking here. NO ONE wants any part of the Ukraine war. Sounds like there may be some ready to fight for Taiwan. I mean, Republican support for Ukraine is limited to old school chickenhawks.
 
Taiwan is a legit ally against the CCP. If the CCP took over all those chip factories which the whole world dependa upon, it would probably be a disaster.

If you want to win a war against China on their home turf there will eventually be a draft. Depending on objectives, it very well might not be able to be won. There is a scenario according to war games where we lose a significant portion of the Pacific Fleet.
 
It's almost like maybe we shouldn't have spent the last three decades enriching one of the most evil regimes in the world which also happens to be one of our greatest enemies.

You don't want to fight a full scale war against China regardless and we never would. But if we are drafting things went reaaaaaally south. Like end of the world times south.
