Has everyone seen the Fox Doge interview?

I'm surprised that the comments are so overwhelmingly positive -- and this is on YouTube, not X.

Of course, it's practically impossible not to support this unless you're a hardcore Dem or are benefiting from the corruption and waste... or of course both.

I almost can't believe how many people said, "Why isn't this on every network?" But that many people are still naive and asleep about this country's media.

So wait, you don't think there is a difference between trespassing and burning down a building? I'm not doing what was pointed out at all. There are differences in crime. Forgive me I am a criminal defense attorney so I do tend to put these things at different levels. I have a client who barges into a house and screams and yells and lays in someone's bed, that is a crime. It's not the same crime as a client who goes in with a Molotov cocktail and burns the place down. This is the problem, it's a false equivalent. Like pretending that all criminals are the same.

No offense but you're a shinning example on this topic of how the mainstream media can brainwash a person on this topic.
 
The difference is, no one sane on the Right defended January 6. What they objected to was the word "insurrection" and the overprosecution of the rioters.

Ummm... that's not true at all. Some IN THE BUILDING at the time looking to stay on Trump's good side actually said later there was nothing wrong about it, one going as far as to say it looked like people just touring the Capitol.

We talking mental disease or defect here? I mean maybe some should want TDS to become a mental disorder. Helps with the defense.

Rationalize? You have to be careful with that. At a sentencing hearing rationalizing can sound a lot like not accepting responsibility. Maybe in the back room talking to the prosecutor rationalizing can help. But usually it screws you worse in any other setting.

Do I believe it had long lasting impacts on victims lives? Not at all.

A second one they openingly state had mental health struggles before January 6?

I think only one of those 4 was able to claim it was a "line of duty" death who was Jeffrey Smith. Who oddly enough committed suicide the same day they gave him the all clear to go back to work. Maybe I'm being insensitive but what sense does it make to commit suicide because you're afraid to go back to work and potentially be harmed in the line of duty? There is no logic to it, some people just commit suicide. A week after the event? Cleared for work?

Honestly someone committing suicide had a lot more going on than a one day event. But yeah, convenience and money makes it easiest to blame that day. So no, I'm not drawing that line.
 
I get it. You don’t care that officers of the law were assaulted on 1/6. You don't think the whole thing was a big deal.

Police are only useful when they support your narrative.

You're trying to put words in my mouth. Do I care? Absolutely. Was it a big deal? Yes

Does that make you feel better? I get that maybe you're not actually listening to what I'm saying but things aren't always extremes. Some crimes are major, some crimes are minor and some are in-between. January 6th was in between. If you actually listen and are open minded, minds can be changed. You should try actually listening.

Shooting and burning buildings are major.

Staying at a park past 8 pm is minor.

And that people like Irv apparently draw no distinction between the ones bashing in windows and destroying things and the ones who were just strolling through not hurting anything. A bunch of the ones who got harsh sentences did nothing violent and never even went into the building.

True, but I consider the killing of Ashli Babbitt to be a legitimate shooting. She was violent and ignored many orders to stand down. This doesn't excuse the government of hiding the policeman's identity because he was black and had a bad record.

20 people died as a direct result of the blm protests. Billions of dollars of property damage and looting. And this is equivalent to Jan. 6th? Get off the fucking gas. It was definitely fucking stupid and I said it was as it was happening because I knew it would be conflated with the other bullshit, just like you're doing now.
