The Dur thread.

I'm not sure what causes the tweets to disappear like this. I have looked into it and there seems to be no consensus on the issue. Some say "sensitive content" is the reason, but if that's the case why did this one post and then disappear? I don't get it.

Usually it is when the tweet gets taken down for some reason.

That doesn't hold true, either. I have been watching it for a few months trying to find some commonality in the ones that disappear or never appear the first time you try to post them, and there is no undeniable common denominator.

A friend of mine here owned a Mooyah's Burgers franchise, but he had left Dallas about 10 years ago where his family owned a few Subway restaurants.

He said that the death knell for quality hit when they started offering the $5 footlong, (Jesus, how long ago was that??) and the owners had to really skimp on the quality of everything but the bread just to barely scrape by.

Even though the $5 footlong has been history for a while, I'm sure that they have kept with that same practice of buying the lowest quality ingredients.

Jersey Mike's was just taken over by some Blackstone. I'm sure it won't be long before there's a collapse in their quality too.

Someone gave me a Subway gift card last Christmas and I finally used it last week. The meatball sub was like eating rubber balls. I won't be going back.

That looks horrid. And on a sandwich bun? Really?

Subway: we're the "healthy" food choice.

Also Subway: here's a fucking hot dog.
I guess they saw Jared slinging weiners when he was there and decided to make a run at it. :unsure

I mean the crappy quality was acceptable when you got a whole footlong for 5 bucks. But when you're paying $15.00 for that same sub now, you expect better. It's a balance between price and quality. You might not be able to have a great price and great quality. But when you raise one you can't lower the other.
