The Colin Kaepernick Thread...

They are not signing him. Nor is any other NFL team. This is all posturing.
If they do they're retarded. The media will hound them until he gets to start, not to mention all the fluff pieces that will come out daily

Not even sure he really worked out for them. I feel like the whole thing was a PR stunt.
Part of me wants to believe that he is that grifter that is really realizing the gig is up and this horseshit comes to a close.

In other words, I would like a world where his enablers, handlers and supporters are not grabbing onto every fucking QB signing and going "KAP!?".

Cause, he's a terrible QB.
Me thinks you're allowing his politics to sway your opinion of his abilities as a football player.

IDK what he looks like now, but he was far from a terrible QB the last time we saw him play. He wasn't great but he was a hell of a lot better than a majority of the QBs in the league.

I mean, just what we saw that day he refused the NFL's workout and had his own down the street, he looked awful. Not even in shape. At least this time it looked like maybe he'd cut some of the fat, but still, it's been years now since he played and it's hard for any professional to take that much time off and keep their skills.

I wouldn't sign him now mainly due to the time away from the game.

But people were being dishonest by labeling him a terrible QB around 2017-2019 timeframe.

If he is better thank a majority of QBs in the league, then why hasn't someone signed him? Teams are desperate for QB help.

You think the entire league blackballed him?
Absolutely.

So you're telling me that after Kaepernick's 2016 season where he was an okay QB (59% comp/16 TDs/4 INTs) that he wasn't good enough to be on a single roster?

Meanwhile.....Cam Newton, who has truly been a terrible QB, has managed to find work despite being completely washed up.

To be fair, CK was about to be signed by the Ravens and then his girlfriend tweeted that Biscotti was basically a slave owner. It's hard to get hired under those circumstances no matter what business you're in.

And I don't even think it's politics per se that made teams not want him, it was that he'd be a distraction with stunts like that. And no coach wants that from a backup QB no matter the topic or issue.

That is the whole point. He is the guy who put himself into this position with posturing and layoff from the game. He showed zero signs of being fully committed to play regardless of his starting status until recently.

Yep, I think if he'd honestly been keeping in top shape and throwing all along, someone would take a chance on him now.

This I can agree with. When he passed up that workout in 2019 I knew then he wasn't serious about playing anymore.

Hell of a lot better than the majority?
