Test...

It's not the cold, it's the wet. I had nowhere to set up the deep fryer properly.

Shame you don't have a proper pergola.

It's a shame you can't fry the turkey under your Dad's glorious pergola.

I'm not frying a turkey this year.

Baked turkey and someone's buying a cooked Boston Butt.

w00t! It's all about the booze and ball this year, and for that I'm thankful.

The above post serves two purposes.

To correctly categorize Iamtdg for his weather fears, and to try get this thread on the right track and away from the dark, scary places inhabited by butt vibrators and such things.

You're welcome.

Carp is looking for someone to sit on his lap for the Oakland game.

Roasting a turkey and smoking a ham. My brother is a firefighter and has to work tomorrow so we are doing it on Saturday. Yep. Football with no interruptions tomorrow.

Lucky you. I will be at a house with about 57,000 kids.

I was going to deep fry a turkey, but ended up not doing that because of the weather.

Been raining here almost non-stop, but I can't go baked again. Went and bought one of the indoor fryers.

How much did that set you back?

$150. Can do other stuff with it...low country boil, etc.

Bit steep, but I just can't have baked turkey again.

I hate baked turkey, and that's not a bad price. I may look into getting one. We have wanted to do a boil, so that might be the perfect purchase.

The price is pretty consistent...Target, Wally World...about the same.

I like fried turkey as much as the next guy, but there's no goddamn way I'm spending $150.

But then again, I'm not old and senile

Fried Perch...

Thumbs sideways. Batter is good, but the fish does not have much taste.

Dude, if you want a good freshwater fish, find or catch some crappie. It's the best lake fish you will ever eat.
