They have won 2 of the last 6 Super Bowls and he's tossing gear. I'd love to be in their position.

Sure the losing sucks but those two recent super bowls cushion the blow. Plus they're probably going to get a top 5 pick. Those bastards will probably be in position to add Clowney.

It is kinda weird though because we just don't know what to say. They are just generous people but we can't/won't be buying them trips or anything back.

I do ok. I just live a relatively simple life while saving my money. We don't buy new cars or take fancy trips. We could be I chose not to. I mean, we live in a nice place and eat well and all but we don't splurge much. I'm more interesting in raising the 5 kids that's have left at home and being a mentor to my oldest son since he's gone now. Putting 6 through college and investing is more my style. Plus, we do stuff like sports and local travel that costs a bunch. It's pretty easy for us to 600-700 per week during football season eating out after all 3 games, gas, out of town hotels and such. That is about all of the money that I want to trhow away.

I'm not gonna throw 3000-4000k back at my friends just because. That is what I paid for my 18 year old sons car. That what I was getting at about receiving a big gift form someone. I don't ever want to be attached to another person through money. I appreciate the gift but I haven't even invested in vacation like that for myself, much less someone else.

I do like giving and we do a whole lot of that but not on entertainment.

Holy shit I've been there. I went to the sun palace for my honeymoon and we toured the moon palace. It's VERY nice.

I would guess since I believe it is all inclusive you are looking at about 5k more or less.

I don't know if you are serious or not but can you see how I am excited and uncomfortable at the same time?

Long story short - they adopted their niece and nephew that was abandoned by her drug addicted sister. I have coached their son for the last 3 years. He's a really good kid with loads of talent and an angry streak. I love the kid to death and we've become close. the kid hangs on every word that I say in life and on the field. He literally hurts someone every single game that he plays. His dad was 6'4" 250lbs of solid muscle and athleticism.


The new dad is a developer and does well. He donates to the program and is very thankful for the time that I spend with his kid. Theyve followed us to another school/program so his kid can be coached by me.

So far they haven't asked for anything and are very gracious to us. Always assuring that it is a free gift and they are just being nice.

It is very humbling for people to give you stuff. I just don't know what to think.
