I think one reason we've slowed down is because the Cowboys have eroded our will. The team has most of us beaten down.

Obviously these things are subjective but I have a hard time disputing what you're saying. I am especially a Mel Brooks mark. You could put Young Frankenstein and To Be or Not to Be in there too.

Also almost forgot I should mention as honorable mentions: Naked Gun/Hot Shots/Top Secret
 
I rate Clerks ahead of them because for me when I saw it the movie was just so unique and fresh. But any of those movies are worthy really.
 
In my defense I have my newborn in here with me in his carseat and he won't stop fussing so it is hard to concentrate.
