Test...

Oh T-Dawg, now you joining in on the crazy.

We're going to look back on these days and laugh, but I'm gonna laugh now, too.

I was really mad at you, but this post made me smile, so I am no longer mad at you now.

Finally caught a break on the deployment cycle. They've officially cancelled my unit's scheduled deployment to Kuwait. We were supposed to leave next spring. :happydance

Kuwait's actually very chill compared to the 'Stan and Iraq but I hate having to share bathrooms and common areas with others who don't clean up behind themselves.

Plus I would have missed a ton of college and pro games because of the time difference.

Best news I've gotten in a while.

Sweet.

Always nice to not have to make that deployment.

Indeed.

I've had to deploy every other year since 2007. This will be a welcome break. What really irritated those of us who deployed frequently was seeing a bunch of senior NCOs and Officers who've been in the military for well over 10 years that had never deployed. Or if they did deploy it was one time way back in 2005. That used to piss us off. Two wars going on plus missions to Kuwait and other areas in the Middle East and a large chunk of the military population were successfully ducking the deployments with phantom medical issues, family issues, etc.

In 2011 for instance when they told us we had to deploy to Afghanistan in December that year, there were a couple of guys who all of a sudden had medical issues that prevented them from deploying. Nevermind that just one week prior they were running full speed like Usain Bolt playing for our unit football team.

But I digress.

It'll feel good to stay home for at least 2 straight years. Actually I plan on submitting my retirement packet next summer, so hopefully my 2012 deployment was my last one.

This CFB show on Fox 1 sucks

We have this Greek guy yelling all the time, that stupid Mike Periera guy, some nobody who looks like Phil Simms' long lost son, and that bimbo Erin Andrews and her hooker makeup

Day 1 of graduate school:

It is hard. Not like TWSS hard but more like difficult hard.

Fox has always put together some pretty poor sports programming.

Remember the best damn sports show?

Horrible.

They're still in their infancy. I'm expecting them to make some format and on air talent changes before the year ends.

Yesterday's programming was horrid. I didn't even bother to tune to their channel because it was nothing but NASCAR and UFC all day long.

You don't know that, 2233guy.

And now we have someone to blame when he FAILs.

When on hold, I hate being told how important my call is to the folks who have left me on hold for 15 minutes.

The music is soothing, though, and puts me in another world. Once they do finally come on the line, I have no clue what I called about in the first place.

Put me back on hold, please!

Every morning when I take my crap the entire house decides that is the time to come in the bathroom...then are somehow surprised that it smells.

:lol

Give me a call here at work and I'll gladly put you on hold.

It was I who chose the hold music for all of our VoIP phones here, so I'd like your expert opinion on this tune.

Why would anyone call your work when they can get a Rod Stewart mix on Pandora?

We use Muzak tied into our system, and I really need to change that shit up pretty quick.

But I'm never on hold here, so I don't give a shit.
