Wouldn't it be the same as if your breaks suddenly failed?
How much does a flight for a family of four cost from Austin to chicago?
maybe not as far as Austin to chicago, but some of the most popular flights like SF to San Diego, la to Vegas, New York to anywhere NE, etc.
how popular is dallas to St. Louis, KC, Phoenix, New Orleans, Denver? How long would those drives be?
I can't imagine autonomous vehicles working out. Robotics theory says robots can't predict human behavior. So either every car on the road is autonomous or none are. I just don't see it happening.
Volvo has a car coming out this year that can run fully autonomously on highways under 37 mph. It is intended for traffic jams for now. but they're coming
I've been coming here a lot less lately. I realize it is the offseason, but let's spend more time talking about barbecue and beer and less time talking about politics and religion.

Say a kid runs into the street and the vehicle won't be able to brake in time and there's a car in the lane next to you, will the ai know to break the law by intentionally crashing into the car to save the kids life?
Holy shit, BipolarFan has hacked Unk's account!
Exactly my point about robotics theory. A robot can't predict nor emulate human behavior. The robot runs over that kid. There is no way to simulate all scenarios, and even if there was, there is no way to guarantee a bot can make the human response in all of those scenarios.
