Test...

It's going to be 102 here today. Not exactly ideal for working outside. So, if you guys would test, that would be awesome.

I've been coming here a lot less lately. I realize it is the offseason, but let's spend more time talking about barbecue and beer .

And the first place Texas Rangers. Beer, BBQ, and Rangers.

Dallen, god dammit, I said test and all you do is come in here and prop Rev's post. :mad

We just caught another thief with a bait bike. That's 3 arrests in 2 days. Boom!

Speaking of bat flips did anybody catch the one that the Miami Hurricane did against BC? He will be drilled by every team next year. Watched the homerun, dramatic bat flip, and then when coming home makes some kind of signal at the catcher. Dugouts cleared but no Odor haymakers were thrown.

Anyone still buy the season preview magazines like AThlon, Lindys, Sporting News or PFW?

So, when you're eating red beans, do you crumble up your cornbread and put your beans on top of them? Or do you eat your cornbread on the side?

Dont do red beans. Just big chunk of cornbread. Must be organic, free range corn. Gluten-free in body and spirit.

Hah! GAY!!!!!

Less airplane trips. Airline industry goes to shit. I'd rather sleep in my car overnight while car self drives from midnight to 7am.

No way on this particular point. Well, maybe for your example of a 7 hour drive I guess, but I'm still going to get on a plane if I'm going long distance. A flight from Austin to Chicago is 2.5 hours as opposed to sitting in a goddamn car for 18 hours. Round trip that is 36 hours in the car. No thanks. Even when you consider travel to and from the airport/time at the airport I probably spend at most 9 hours travel time on that trip. That is a huge difference and I would not sacrifice that kind of time as long as airfare stays at a reasonable level.

How much does a flight for a family of four cost from Austin to chicago?

maybe not as far as Austin to chicago, but some of the most popular flights like SF to San Diego, la to Vegas, New York to anywhere NE, etc.

how popular is dallas to St. Louis, KC, Phoenix, New Orleans, Denver? How long would those drives be?

I think normal cars will always be around in some form. If I'm commuting to work, fine, let the car drive while I mess around on the internet. But I might want to take the family on a Sunday trip up through Big Thicket or whatever.

My insurance agent father-in-law brought up an interesting question while we drinking beer on Memorial Day: If the forward sensor on your self-driving car goes out and you rear end another vehicle, how will liability be determined? I don't want to be held financially responsible for the inevitable break down of something like that.

Wouldn't it be the same as if your breaks suddenly failed?

Absolutely agree. So pretty much every time I leave Lubbock, I fly. Mainly because Lubbock is at least 6 hours drive from anything.
