I have to admit I have a secret affinity for bands with female lead singers.

Cranberries, Shiny Toy Guns (which the chick sings), Evanscence, The Pretenders, Paramore, Echosmith, Garbage, Crystal Castles.

All in all, I prefer songs with strong female vocals for the most part all things equal.

Sia and Tove Lo are two that I really like right now. Hell, I won't turn off Taylor Swift either. :gay

I am right there with you. Check out Nightwish and especially Lacuna Coil if you like Evanescence. Also Epica.

Listened to Lacuna Coil sometimes but they get too death metal-ish for me for the most part. But Scabbia makes them palatable, depending on how much they let her go.

Will have to check out Nightwish and Epica, never heard of them.

Another weird thing for me is 1980s-type synth based music with female leads.

Ever since Drive, I listen to everything the Chromatics, College/Electric Youth and Desire puts out.

Also forgot about Purity Ring, who I saw at the House of Blues last year. Enjoyed their performance.
