I've not spent time in College Station, but Ace is the guy who claims there's nothing to do in America's 4th largest city, so, grain of salt.

He has always seemed like he was slumming it in Houston.:lol

Nothing can compare to Dallas I guess.

So if someone came from out of town, what would you take them go do here?

Go to a bar? Go eat? Walk in a park? Visit that shit hole of a beach called Galveston?

Yes, there are things to do for those of us who live here, but nothing special or unique.

Houston fails miserably in comparison to cities in California, Florida, the upper east coast, etc.

There is absolutely nothing you can do here that you can't do in some other city, and there isn't anything for a tourist to come and see.

There is a bar in my local area that makes a burger that looks awesome. Of course I wouldn't know, because I don't eat teh Meatz but they brand the bun with an E and everything. So there's that.


Plus you can stop by my house and have a tofurkey bologna sandwich or something.

I was going to point out the giant mosquitoes, but Florida has those too. Come view the country's largest highway system!

It is actually a pretty great place to live, but no one in their right mind would come here on a vacation.

Exactly my point.

As a place to live? It's fine. It's got everything I need and I have no trouble finding things to do with my wife when we get time without the kids.

But as far as like entertainment, sight-seeing, something fresh and/or unique? Meh.

Like I said, there are things to do for leisure and stuff, but it's not anything special that you can't do in most major cities. And as a vacation spot, it offers nothing.
