Pro tip: Balsamic vinegar + Ketchup = best fry dip

CSB time.

Back when I was in high school, my cousin worked at a Checker's. I'd go in and order a burger and come out with stacks of fries and like 4 or 5 burgers and a milkshake.

Good times. :art

One-up CSM time:

Mark Brunell owned a bunch of Whataburgers in Florida. He ended going bankrupt. I've met him and Tony Boselli on many occasions. We are acquaintances and have shared the same pastor at one time.

Moral to the story - whataburger sucks and failed in Florida on many occasions.

Frikkin thief! This is why our country is in such a damn mess now.

When I worked at Wal-Mart in high school, I'd drop a bottle of Coke out of a 6-pack on the ground so we'd have to trash it. 5 cokes each shift, w00t.

I bought weed at sonic as a teenager. Like literally ordered it at the drive up.

:lol

When we first moved to Houston from Chicago we didn't know anyone so had no source for weed initially. The first few times I got it was on weekend trips to Austin and it was a similar situation. I would go to a well known local burger joint, order a large Coke from a particular girl (a friend of my friend that lived in Austin), and walk out with a half ounce of weed in the cup instead of soda. It was a nice, easy setup.

I have gone into a couple dispensaries in Denver the past few times I have been in town. Now THAT is one stop shopping and a thing of beauty.

I admire a hustler when I see one.

Props.

Since my wife has gone through chemo I have learned how to buy weed again.

Let me tell you something, this has been the best, safest experience that I could have ever imagined. I'd easily go to jail over this of I had to. The alternative is taking pain pills and anxiety pills for 6 months. Marijuana is many good things:

1. Instant
2. Safe - the side effects are minimal. Smoking daily is slightly harmful but it is easy to overcome by not smoking for a short period. Those effects are related to the lungs.
3. Easily controllable. It only lasts 2-3 hours which means that she can push through some pain and go to a kids even or something. Then get home and instantly get relief.
4. Nausea cure. This is very very important. She can't eat which is a bad idea over a period of time. Proper nutrition is essential to healing
5. Non-addictive. Pain medication has worn the highest addictive qualities over almost all other drugs. The side effects are extremely dangerous and relapse is very very high. Marijuana does not pose these risks
6. Anxiety. Chronic illness and pain causes all sorts of things. Weed is a wonderful cure. My wife absolutely deserves to sit and enjoy a movie with me or talk to the kids without being overcome by doom.
I could go on and on. I'd advocate for legalization every single day.

All great points. I do think it can become addictive to a point though because people do come to rely on it for certain things like anxiety, insomnia, etc. But overall any dependence that can develop is not physical. And to point out once again, alcohol and cigarettes are much more harmful and addictive but remain legal.

I am really happy that it is bringing some relief to your wife. I hope that people who think that it should be illegal for recreational use can at least recognize that it does have medical value and is a better alternative than most of the pharmaceutical options out there.

I worked at a Hardee's (Carl's, Jr. in other parts of the country) when I was 16 and we would cook up a shitload of burgers and Big Cookies and just take them out to our cars in a fresh trash bag. Wasn't uncommon for me to take a dozen burgers home during a shift. I would eat some for lunches, etc., but they also had a decent amount of trade/cash value at lunchtime during school. Worked out pretty well for me and some of the other teenagers. Not so much for Hardee's though. :unsure

They did realize this was going on though when the spoilage numbers were through the roof. They tried to tighten up but it was still a pretty easy thing to get away with even then.

I can't imagine why it isn't just prescribed for anyone going through chemo. Ridiculous that someone has to actually go buy it illegally.

~unfriending~

Every Checkers I have been around in the Carolinas has gone under. So there.

Well, cake can become addictive as well. People use to for comfort.

I'm being facetious but I think you get the point. :art

Opioids are highly addictive and far more dangerous.

Iamtdg checkers is basically the same exact thing as Short Stop. They get their products and concept from the same place. Do you remember those?
