Such a terrible time for this board. We talk a lot of shit to each other but when you lose one of your own it has an impact. Hell, the reasons we are all mostly friends on FB is because of Rant. Just a terrible tragedy.

Dude was a highly-active member of the board, we definitely lost a piece of the DCC that day.

I still remember he finally changed his user title to Igno a week or so before he left. Not that I thought he was stupid by any m3ans, but suggested it when I was drunk as shit off a beer he recommended in the beer thread.

I remember him being knowledgeable about the college game, music thread, and not being afraid of contact.

I just poured out a fat tire for you, buddy.

I thought I was going to get banned for arguing with SBK in PMs about banning Rant back when he was posting as Trojans something. That was pretty much during the holocaust when SBK was banning everyone. When he was allowed back & was posting as Rant I got to know him well on a personal level outside of the board. He could be a smart assed prick in the forums but he was a really good guy. I always mention it when he comes up but I was in possession of his copy of Chuck Palahniuk's book 'Rant', which is where he got his screen name, when he died. I still have it of course, and will donate it to the DCC museum after it is built.

I take a deep breath and sigh every time I am reminded that he didn't even get 30 years of life. It was very tough news for me to hear at the time and I still miss him.
