We ordered a turkey this year for Thanksgiving, you know because my wife believes I shit money for a living, but its stuffed with broccoli rice casserole which intrigues me. I'm kinda OK with it. There will still be traditional dressing though, none of that stove top crap.
 
Gonna brine a turkey this year before frying versus injecting. Any advice? Ayuh or feh?

I should not have quoted, just making a general point about ham. It is not appropriate for Thanksgiving. Christmas or New Year's only....if you like it enough which I do not

First, disregard anything chicken boy might say. Second, go with the brine. I brine mine over night in a cranberry brine. 12 hours, minimum. Just be sure to rinse and pat dry the turkey before cooking. I've tried homemade and store bought brines. This is one of the rare times store bought is just as good as home made. You'll find a bigger selection if you go to an actual butcher shop than you will in a grocery store.

I have never had a more juicy, tasty turkey than a brined and deep fried turkey, and will not make them any other way. You will not be disappointed.
