Test...

We raise our own beef, so we don't have that bullshit a grocery tries to pass off. And the burger is very good. But burger is still made from the cheaper cuts of beef. To try and say burger is ground up steak is just wrong. You'll never find anybody grinding up prime rib, rib steak, Tbones, NewYork strip, etc... for burger.

Today burgers are ground from all of that stuff including kobe beef just look up gourmet burgers.

There are also cheaper steak cuts than those mentioned above that burgers are from.

Anyway this is getting off topic so I am done.

Skid I have a feeling you are going to have more business than you can handle over the next couple days. It is raining sideways around here and I know New Braunfels/Wimberley/etc are getting it just as bad or worse.

Yeah man, I've been getting a bunch of calls for Austin. We aren't taking individual calls for Austin now but will go if some neighborhoods end up under water like Onion Creek.

I'd like to open a bagel store...have it open until about come in around 4 to cook my bagels, close around 3-4. I'll cater to the breakfast crowd, but if you want me to throw some chicken salad on a bagel I will.

I just kind of picture myself standing at the counter, chit chatting with people, talking about the old days. I am taking applications...and we can crowd fund this sum bitch if you want to.

Bagel and The Growler.

Is it safe to say that The Banjo is dead?

I would like to apply for the position of stressed out store manager. The kind of manager that chain smokes and blows situations at the shop way out proportion.

{pacing back and forth on a phone call with one of the distributors}

"Outta poppy seeds? What the hell do you mean outta poppy seeds?! It's six goddamn thirty in the morning, Charlie. What am I supposed to tell these people out here? We're going to have a hell of a situation out there, pal! You're killing me Charlie! Killing me!".

{slams down phone}

"I'm getting too old for this shit."

{runs fingers through graying hair, takes a slug of Pepto, heads out back for another couple cigarettes}

You're hired.

Meanwhile, I will be retelling some old Hostile stories to keep the crowds happy. Of course I will have to, the dog talking on the phone meme will be displayed prominently in a nice frame as you enter. That story is a good start.

We are doing our own water removal at the office right now. The flat roof we have has always been a problem in heavy, wind-driven rain no matter how many times we have had guys come out to work on it. Wet vac, fans, mops...tons of fun.

Sweet. You can put Vic on my nametag

I like it. And maybe once a year, possibly on the anniversary of the store opening, you can fly Hos in to tell the stories in person. It would be a hell of a promotional stunt and the regulars would relish the opportunity to hear the familiar stories from the mouth of the legend himself. Tie it in with a book release/signing for Hos' latest work of fiction and lines would stretch for blocks. People would be camping out on the sidewalk in tents the night before and the news crew would be there interviewing them about it.

I can only come to one reasonable conclusion for this bombshell.

Poor Geng has never had a good steak. Whoever made his steak in the past must have been a monster, and over cooked a shitty cut and tried to pass it off as steak.

There is no better food in this world than a bone-in ribeye, grilled over coals.

There may actually be some truth to this. I had a girlfriend a while back who used to say the same thing. So she cooked me one on the grill one day, and admittedly I enjoyed it. No idea what cut it was.

But 99 percent of the time I've had one I wanted to throw up.

What kind of man doesn't enjoy a warm, juicy piece of meat in his mouth?

lulz loser...

There could be lots of tie ins with him. I'd have a cartoon of a bagel pointing at a box of yeast exclaiming "That's the way I was raised".

What is it you don't like about steak?

A burger is basically ground up steak.

How do you feel about brisket?

I don't drool over steak I would take a great burger over steak most of the time.

I don't like the taste. I don't think it tastes anything like a burger.

I don't actually know what a brisket is. :unsure

:lol

Outstanding idea. Green balloons with the company name/logo for all the kids would be a given, I'd think.

Also a full wall graphic of a rebellious teen jumping a squad car on an off-road bike would have to be part of the decor.

Maybe Wednesdays are Nephew Day. Bring in your nephew and get a free bagel for your nephew with the purchase of a small coffee.

A "Support Our Troops" poster featuring the pic of the action figures Hos insisted were real soldiers.

A replica mannequin of Karl Malone's mom holding her arms in a hoop could be the trash can holder.

Lotta possibilities out there.

Grinding up prime cuts for burger is retarded. I can see why you'd be behind it.

And this is the test thread. EVERYTHING is off topic.

As an aside...I got a great deal on a buttload of KC strip steaks...they are oddly excellent.
