skidadl do you know any homebuilders that work in the SA area that could give me a legit price on a floorplan?

Anyone catch the video of those two high school football players who tackled a referee? Pretty unbelievable:

There was a thread started about it. :unsure

Cool stuff this weekend...the local select baseball team asked my son to come out and throw for them because they were looking at adding a pitcher to bring up to speed and work with over the winter. He was excellent...played 1st and 3rd, he made this barehanded play that was frigging awesome.

Then they put him on the mound and he is just throwing smoke...and hitting the spots they ask him to. They would put him in a scenario where he was up 0-2 in the count and ask him where he should throw...we've always gone inside and up in those situations, some say to burn one outside and try to get them to chase. The coach asked him why and he told him that if he threw it outside it was easier for the batter to just kind of throw his bat out there and slap it into RF (or LF if the batter was lefty). The coach was impressed.

You kind of run through scenarios like this in your mind and hope your kids step up...and he most definitely did. It was great. Now on the other hand, I have coached every baseball team he was on and we won championships in 5 of 7 years...3 times going undefeated. That was kind of our thing...I thought that I would have him for at least another year, possibly two, but if he gets picked for that team I will not longer coach him. Selfishly, it kind of sucks for me, but I could see just how happy he was that he showed out so well. Honestly, when I was sitting in the stands watching him ball out I was tearing up...pride mixed with knowing that I need to let go and let him get better coaching, while playing at a higher level.

Anywho...I feel like I am on Oprah now...CSB.

Nice. I went through something like that last year. My boys wanted to move on to public school to compete against better competition. As a result my boys have got better coaching. my 16 year old has grow immensely as a QB. I've always handled the QBs and scheme for all of my teams. He's learned so much more where he's at.

It is bitter sweet to let them go and watch them grow.

Yep...now I could still coach, but I think I would have a hard time staying focused on a team that my son was not on. It was cool though...he was not intimidated at all...he seemed to welcome the challenge of playing with a higher skill set.

Have fun sitting in the stands listening to the dumbass fans and parents. That is always entertaining.

I've got a guy who does my design work. He does a really good job. He charged $650 for a pretty rad guest house that I'm building on my place. But I needed detailed blueprints.

Do you just need a floor plan or something to use to build with?

What are you doing exactly?

I have a very clear idea of what I want, I can draw the basic floorplan with dimensions. What I need is for someone to ballpark what it would cost to build.

Ah, I see. Are you going to be your own contractor or find a builder?

2233boys you still shitting sideways? I worked in a house that the toilet was too close to the wall. I'm assuming they have to do the same thing.

Fixed it, moved out the cabinet my wife put in there.

I need restaurant recommendations for Detroit, Nashville, Birmingham, Spartanburg and Atlanta.

Stay away from Atlanta

That's what the fuck I'm talkin bout, brother man.

Man's gotta have room to stretch his legs and take a shit.

Have you started back eating bacon? Because I'm feeling some bravado in your tone.

Sorry sir, Georgia is not taking in any more Mexicans. We're simply at capacity.

One place you need to visit is the Sundial Restaurant. It spins on top of the Westin and is constantly in motion, so you get a really impressive view of the city.

It's been awhile since we've been and from what I understand they've remodeled. You access it from an elevator on the outside of the building, which is enclosed in nothing but glass. I'm scared of heights and nearly shit my pants on initial take off.

Dontcha worry ese... I'm just passing by to catch the flight back home.

I'm more interested in good eats than the touristy thing, if I'm doing the touristy thing I'm going to the Aquarium. I used to go every year to an expo and always said next time I'll go, then there was no more expo and I never went...
