I nominate Phil...dong's are usually the first thing out of his mouth when he posts.

I've tried all that stuff. The patch. Gum. Chantix. And I always went back to smoking. I read that quitting cold turkey, while probably the hardest at first because you don't have a crutch, has the highest success rate. It's been almost six months now since I've had a smoke. The first month was kind of a bitch, but got easier after that. Now I don't miss it at all. At least not physically. There are still times I'll think about it, but it passes quickly with no problem. Usually after eating, or whatever. I thought it would be tough not to smoke while driving, drinking coffee in the morning, drinking beer, etc... But like I said, after the first month it gets a lot easier. I smoked about a pack a day for over 25 years.
