Woke up this morning and saw that I got a random Twitter follow from Jose Bautista of the Blue Jays.

I've never mentioned the guy, hash-tagged the Jays, or anything. It was just completely out of the blue.

He may have been drunk tweeting and hit the wrong button. :shrug

Rooney Rule.

I'm having DirecTV reinstalled at the moment. Getting a free season of Sunday Ticket with my order as well. :towel

No more Comcast/Xfinity cable.

It's 2015 and Comcast still only offers 1 NBA League Pass game in HD per night. Unacceptable.

But what really made me pull the plug is their failure to live up to our agreement. I signed up for their Triple Play package and I was supposed to receive a $200 Visa gift card with the package. 7 months, and several phone calls later.....no gift card. So I told them our contract wasn't binding since their company couldn't fulfill their end of the agreement.

Also, their crappy X1 receivers started malfunctioning about 90-days after installation. I call them and tell them that I need a new receiver or techs to come out and the assholes tell me that it will cost me money. I ask about their warranty for equipment because 90 days is a short time-frame for equipment to go out and most respectable companies will replace their equipment free of charge within 6-12 months. But Comcast only has 30 day warranties on their equipment. So basically they can install a crap product at your home then charge you on the 31st day to come fix it once it inevitably fails to operate properly.

Seems like a scam to me. So I told them I wasn't paying and they could come get their garbage because I've found another provider. :fistpump

That's quite the story, bro.

Comcast/Xfinity is absolute crap when it comes to TV service.

Their customer service is also one of the worst in the industry. I don't know a single person who had anything good to say about their experience with Comcast or their customer service.

Point is, if you have DirecTV or Uverse available to you, why on earth would you ever choose Comcast?

Comcast Internet is actually solid, tbf, and I do use them for that, but I'll jump ship as soon as fiber becomes available in my immediate area.

You're kind of an international deal, even if it's just a Canadian.

The customer service is horrid. Probably the worst I've ever dealt with.

I call their 800-number to cancel the TV service and "shockingly" the call kept dropping during the transfer to their cancellation department. So after 15 minutes of dropped calls, I hop on their live chat service and explain my issue and the rep gives me the number to what was supposed to be the lcoal number to comcast in my area. I immediately recognized the number as the one that I'd been calling and told the rep that he's just giving me a generic 800-number. A bunch of con artists is all they are, IMO.

Also, I've probably called at least 6 times regarding that $200 gift card and each time the rep promises that the issue has been resolved.

They're by far the worst customer service that I've dealt with. I thought HP was bad but Comcast takes the cake.

Uverse isn't available in my area so I have to keep Comcast for internet. Honestly their internet service has been outstanding for me. But the customer service has been so bad that if Uverse were available I'd drop Comcast's internet service just to be completely done with them.

I'm going to use my new found celebrity to drum up support for the DCC twitter handle.

DCC, sponsored by the Toronto Blue Jays and Hillshire's Canadian Bacon???

Think about it.

I've got my alcoholic/drunk cousin at my house waiting for his daughter to come pick him up and drag him home. This dude wakes up drinking beer. It's just now noon and he's already gone through 6 beers since 8 AM.

He drinks 4 beers each morning for breakfast.

All he does is drink and talk about drinking nonstop. 56 years old and the only thing in his life that matters is drinking beer.

Now my wife is seeing why I never invited this dude over to my house since we've been down here in FL. She's getting the full effect of his idiocy.

I'm pretty sure she won't be bugging me to invite him over anymore. :lol

If you want to draw the Canadian sports fans, you gotta get Molson to sponsor. Take it from someone who knows. :unsure
